Got a quote for winshield replacement; Mobile Calibration and Installation. Tech shows up to my house a hour away from the shop to tell me that I would have to bring the vehicle to the shop to get my car calibrated for the new winshield. I got reimbursed sure... But overall was a big waste of time. Meanwhile I see posts like these on facebook. I will be avoiding this shop, like why send the tech 2 hours to drive to a location when he won't even be able to complete the job!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Safelite! From start to finish, their customer service was exceptional. The entire process to file a claim was incredibly easy and stress-free.The technician who came out, Fernando, was absolutely top-notch. He was very communicative, highly knowledgeable, and extremely nice. Fernando was proactive throughout the entire appointment and did a flawless job on the work.I highly recommend Safelite to anyone in need of windshield or auto glass service—they are 100% top tier!

Among other things (like my now broken visors that I'm told they didn't remove because there was no reason to remove them for the glass. Because I would have magically wrote both of them before I gave him the car right?? See pictures below)
.. I'm trying to figure out how I picked up my Tesla right now and exactly 20% battery was missing 🤔
I parked the car in the gentleman's work station in the garage and powered the car down before I left so it just doesn't make sense.
I'm guessing since the air conditioning temperature was turned down colder than I would ever turn it. They literally ran my air conditioner for hours and hours while they changed my window
No different than picking up my gas vehicle and a quarter of your gas is missing And finding out your air conditioner was running for 4 hours
**Edit**
The owners must think im an idiot to tell me that they need to go and drive to calibrate the car.... This is true but it definitely does not take 20% battery and it doesn't take turning my AC to the coldest setting when it was already on a setting when he went to drive.
And no I did not get an email
**Udate #2 I realizing that when they reinstalled the visors like I asked even though they say they didn't take them out.... They are now broken and I'm going to have to find replacement parts
Thank you Safelite for overcharging me on glass and making my car worse off than when I gave it to you

Windshield replacement and recalibration on a 2024 Tesla Model 3. The car went in undamaged. The recalibration required a road test, so a Safelite employee drove it. When I got it home I found the front wheel lip gouged down to bare aluminum and the tire sidewall cut with rubber torn loose. Both the wheel and the tire need to be replaced.
The store photographed the vehicle before the work. No photos were taken when it was returned to me, so there is no record of its condition when it left their care.
When I brought the damage to them, I never heard from the store manager. I was told by a lead technician that he had been instructed to point at a mark on the shop floor in one of their before photos, identify it as the existing damage, and tell me they would not be helping me. I have both images. In mine the gouge and the cut are visible. In theirs, at the same spot, they are not, and you can see shop floor on both sides of the mark they pointed to.
I have emailed the manager directly and asked her to make it right. I have given her until Friday to respond in writing.
This review is subject to update based on that response. If Safelite stands behind its work, I will say so here.

Waiting room floor is filthy. Hasn't seen a broom or mop in what looks like quite a while. Waited 5 minutes at front counter with no humans in sight. This after they tried to fix two windshield chips previously at my home, and failed on both of them. The guy they sent to me didn't speak English, either. This place is about as 'Yuma' as they come.
Instead of the one star I was going to give them, I'll give them them three stars because the one sole employee they had working (an older Hispanic gentleman with glasses) promise me it would be no more than 3 hours, and he came back with the job done and my calibration verified in about 2 hours and 40 minutes. He was very customer service oriented, And he did what he said he would do.
To the owner or manager: find a way to recognize that employee, and clean up your waiting area would you? I don't care if you've got to get a broom and a mop yourself, clean it up. You represent a national brand and your waiting area is a pigsty.
