Broken windshield replaced through insurance. Scheduling was quick and hassle free. Service finished in a little over two hours. Polite, professional staff at front desk. As it wasn't an OEM replacement, actual glass quality is uncertain although the OEM only lasted a year.

Safelite was wonderful. They were able to get me a new window within 24 hours of my window being broken. My tech was amazing and talked me through the process. He also did a great job cleaning up some of the broken glass I hadn't been able to get.

Safelight texted me as they arrived to install my windshield. Not in advance as I was told. The company helps file with your Insurance payment in advance of the appointment. I had filed out all the requested information in so there should have been no issue. They had completed this before for me no problem. The gentleman installed my Jeep windshield in 20 minutes and then told me I owed $600+ for a shoddy Jeep windshield. The fact that cash was due on completion should have been mentioned prior to the windshield being installed. Then I was told he would email me my receipt. He did not, I had to access the website for a copy. I would never recommend or use this company again. I worked in contracting for 40 years and have dealt with my fair share of window/windshield claims. The service is terrible.

I chose Safelite because they were recommended through Progressive and my windshield replacement was covered under my full glass coverage. What should have been a fairly simple process turned into a a huge headache with me not having my car for a week, and then having to go somewhere else. Originally when I dropped off the car I was told it should be a few hours. I didn't hear anything towards the end of the day. I tried both the shop's direct number and Safelite's nationwide customer service number, and I could not reach an actual person through either one. I was repeatedly routed through automated/AI menus without ever reaching someone who could tell me the status of my car. One time I was sent through menus for more than 5 minutes, only to have the call disconnected on me by the system. With closing time approaching, I finally drove over to the shop to find out what was going on. Safelite initially installed an aftermarket windshield in my Mercedes and then was unable to successfully recalibrate the vehicle's camera/driver-assistance system. Safelite had not been able to complete the calibration that day. I was told they needed more time, but instead of keeping the vehicle and continuing to work on it, they wanted me to take it home, sign paperwork waiving their liability, and bring it back two days later. I was told the shop manager had said they were too busy to work on it the following day. The car remained with them while they tried to resolve the issue (a week.) The receptionist was unhelpful and argumentative. The driver-assistance system had not been calibrated, yet I was being asked to accept the vehicle anyway and release Safelite from responsibility for the unresolved issue. There was also some suggestion that the calibration problem might somehow correct itself, which did not inspire confidence. This frustration was bad enough, but the Instead of leaving with a completed repair, I ended up having to arrange additional service with the dealership and pay for that service upfront with the promise that Safelite would reimburse me, once I completed and submitted the correct paperwork.

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a rear window that shattered on the highway and was recommended by State Farm to use Safelite for the repair. Safelite came out and replaced the glass, however, they broke my regulator in the door while doing so. Safelite’s technician looked at me, took responsibility for the part being broken and said it would be no issue for THE TECHNICIAN HIMSELF to file another claim to get the part fixed. Upon looking at the work I received that day, I noticed my driver door would no longer open as they reinstalled the window trim incorrectly so it blocked my drivers door and damaged the trim. They also did not seal my window or fully put the trim on the inside back together (see photos for how my car was left after my appt, as well as pry marks from their services). After not hearing from anyone for a day or so, I find out the claim never got filed. I called Safelite to figure out what was happening and they refused to take responsibility for that regulator now (even after their employee told me he broke it) and would only replace the trim they damaged. They are denying they are at fault to State Farm so now I have to pay for their mistake out of pocket. Never go with this business. I am filing a complaint with the BBB as this is unacceptable. Do not have your technician take accountability if management isn’t going to fix the problem their staff caused. I will never use this businesses again nor will I ever recommend them. If you want more problems than you started with, use this service. If not, go anywhere else.
