1000% stay away from this business. Never have I ever associated with a business so unbelievably unprofessional. First of all, this guy is a total flake. He will make appointments and verbally confirm them with you only to no show. I’m talking I have both gone to this man’s business for him to not be there at all and scheduled home services where he just doesn’t show up with 0 communication. Had an appointment for him to come to me since my interlock was dead and dying (my interlock not my car battery, car is 100% fine and has been checked out multiple times) 1 day after he supposedly fixed the problem. No worries, said it would be free since the service was less than 4 days ago. Completely no showed on the appointment and ghosted me, only for him to get back to me a month later telling me nothing he can do and that again I need to pay him to take the entire interlock out and get my car checked out. There’s nothing wrong with the car. He had a solution that all of a sudden he saw no point in with no explanation. After texting and calling multiple times with no answer over the span of hours, he finally answers. Rude as hell telling me if it’s really the route I want to go and to waste my money he’ll come out. I then told him this visit should be free as I’ve been having the issue since he flaked on me (the appointment that he already told me would be free) and this dude hung up on me. Would not answer the phone when I called back. 1000% the WORST possible place you could go to for an interlock. I sincerely advise anyone to go literally anywhere else.

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. To read more on Intoxalock, you can read our ignition interlock device guide.

What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
