USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Juan and Mike literally saved our lives! Our original rental didn’t go through despite having the reservation for months. We came into Phoenix for my graduation and my 2 year old was with us. It was past 11pm, but 2am in our time zone. We had a 2 year old, we were all tired, and we had no way to get to the hotel because even Uber wasn’t an option (we didn’t have a car seat). We went to all of the places in the Rent A Car Center (Hertz, Enterprise, Avis, all of them) and they were all either unwilling to help or wanted to charge us triple-quadruple what we originally paid. My poor mom was in tears and my 2 year old was beyond exhausted. Juan and Mike at Sixth were the last place in the center that we hadn’t been to, and thank God we didn’t give up! Juan and Mike went above and beyond to give us a great price, the same size car we originally rented, a car seat, and smiles. They were undoubtedly a Godsend that night, and they were the only people willing to help. The car has been amazing for the entire trip. I highly recommend sixth!!!

I recommend every and anybody to come up here to easy rental car to get a rental car because Crystal and Fred is some of the best sales rep you will meet I've been in a rental car for a month and a half now and just extended it and Crystal had me in and out less than 4 minutes Fred is good and I guarantee you this is the best place to come to get your rental car less hassle and you don't have to wait in line long do it online and you in and out thank you Crystal and Fred for helping me out through these hard times Crystal you're the best 🥰🥰😍😍😍

I was hesitant at first, because I’d never heard of SIXT, but I took a chance when I saw they had an 89% AARP approval rating. They definitely surpassed that for me :-)
The communications were clear and helpful, they even provided directions from the gate to their counter.
All the employees I encountered (especially THE Juan ) were delightful and genuine. The cars were all gorgeous, shiny and brand new. I wound up with something very sporty with all the bells and whistles. I’m considering running away with it. ;-)
SIXT is going to the top of my list now!

I recently rented a car from Sixt and overall had a positive experience. The service was smooth, and the staff were professional and helpful throughout the process. The car itself was in excellent condition—clean, well-maintained, and comfortable to drive.
However, my only concern was with the upgrade. While I did choose to upgrade the vehicle, I felt the additional charge was higher than expected for what was offered. It would have been helpful to have clearer pricing or more transparency around the cost difference before finalizing the upgrade.
That said, aside from the pricing concern, everything else was handled well, and I would still consider renting from Sixt again in the future.

⚠️ RENTED with an ACTIVE RECALL. Sixt rentals. Today, rented a 2025 BMW X3. Within 90 minutes of driving, vehicle issued critical warnings: 'power supply failure' then 'drivetrain malfunction'. We parked. Shortly after, vehicle, began shaking, lost power and became completely inoperable.
Let’s be fair: mechanical failures happen. That is not the issue.
The issue is everything that followed.
While stranded, we searched the VIN and discovered the vehicle has an ACTIVE, UNRESOLVED RECALL. This raises a serious and unacceptable question:
Why is a recalled vehicle—particularly one involving power systems—being rented to customers at all?
From there, the situation deteriorated further:
- We were left stranded for over 5 hours waiting for a replacement vehicle.
- Customer service response was slow, fragmented, and lacking urgency.
- We were explicitly told that if conditions became unsafe (medical or environmental), we should call 911.
- When we offered to secure our own hotel/car accommodations due to the delay and conditions, we were told we were NOT permitted to leave the disabled vehicle.
⚠️Read that again:
We were instructed to remain with a non-functional vehicle, in worsening conditions, for hours, with no meaningful escalation or resolution—while being told emergency services were our fallback.
This is not a customer service issue.
This is a duty of care failure.
A rental company has a fundamental responsibility to:
1. Ensure vehicles are safe and legally eligible for use (no active recalls impacting safety systems)
2. Provide timely, competent assistance when failures occur
3. Prioritize the physical safety of stranded customers, not procedural convenience
Instead, we experienced:
- A potentially unsafe vehicle issued to us
- A prolonged roadside delay
- A policy or decision-making process that prioritized vehicle control over human safety
This is unacceptable.
We are documenting this experience in full and expect a formal explanation addressing:
- Why this vehicle was in circulation with an active recall
- Why roadside assistance response times were so delayed
- Why customers were instructed to remain in an unsafe situation rather than being supported in securing safe shelter
We did our part as customers.
We expect the company to do theirs.
Until then, this stands as a clear warning:
Reliability is not just about the car—it’s about how a company responds when things go wrong.
People and their safety should never be compromised for the sake of corporate, cookie cutter, bean-counter, generic customer service scripts. #sixt #sixtcarrental
