- SVStretch Vessel2 days ago2.0Apparently this QT now has a bathroom bouncer. I’ve been going to QuikTrip since around 2016 and probably spend $50–$80 A DAY there between gas, food, drinks, and everything else I need while driving rideshare. I’ve never experienced anything remotely like what happened at this location. Last night I ordered food ahead, bought drinks and snacks, put roughly $30–$40 in gas in the tank, ate my food, then went inside to use the restroom. About five minutes into actually using the toilet, the manager comes into the bathroom knocking on the stall asking if I’m okay. I tell him I’m fine. A few minutes later, he’s BACK, except now he’s telling me I’ve “been in there too long” and need to leave because he needs to clean the bathroom. Excuse me? There was nobody waiting for the stall. The store was practically empty. There was no emergency. This guy simply decided his cleaning schedule required him to repeatedly bother a paying customer WHILE HE WAS SITTING ON THE TOILET. It eventually turned into an argument through the bathroom stall because apparently grown adults now have to defend how long they’re allowed to take a shit at QuikTrip. And if someone needs additional time because of a medical issue, here’s a revolutionary concept: IT’S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS WHAT THEIR MEDICAL CONDITION IS. You don’t interrogate customers about their bodily functions. You leave them alone, let them finish with some dignity, and clean the stall afterward. I genuinely want QT corporate to tell me what the official company policy is: HOW MANY MINUTES ARE CUSTOMERS ALLOWED TO POOP? Five? Seven? Ten? Do we get a warning at five minutes? Does the manager carry a stopwatch? Is there a little bathroom shot clock somewhere I missed? After nearly a decade as a regular QT customer, this one manager managed to accomplish something nobody else at QT ever has: he convinced me to start spending my money somewhere else. I drive for a living, which means I buy a LOT of fuel. Over the course of a year, we’re talking thousands upon thousands of dollars in fuel and convenience-store purchases. From this point forward, QT’s competitors can have that money. Every tank of gas I would have purchased at QT can be purchased somewhere else. Every time I’m choosing between QT and a competitor, I’ll remember the manager at Greenway and 40th who decided policing a paying customer’s bathroom time was more important than retaining a longtime customer. That’s the remarkable part. QT didn’t lose my business over prices. They didn’t lose it because another company offered me something better. They didn’t lose it because of some corporate policy. They’re losing it because one manager’s ego apparently couldn’t tolerate waiting a few extra minutes for an occupied bathroom stall. Imagine turning a customer who has willingly spent thousands of dollars with your company into someone who will now deliberately fuel at your competitors because you absolutely, positively needed to win an argument with a man sitting on a toilet. That’s an impressive return on management.

Instead of helping me the manager accused me of already using the coupon smh. Saying, I’m going to give it to you this time. Like, excuse me sir. I’m not here for a free damn slice of pizza. Mind you, I already spend $121 dollars at the pump. Customer service down the drain at this QuickTrip.
