  I want to rest assured that I had a very positive experience! I am leaving it glowing review as I read many horrible reviews and was terrified! But don't believe! I will use again!! Wonderful and a great rate! Loved our suv. More than Ha happy.

  I've been a National customer for a few years now and I've never had a bad experience regardless of the location. The Phoenix team is fantastic - the cars are always clean and in great shape, and the checkout/check in process always goes smoothly, and most importantly, the staff are always kind, friendly, and helpful. Shout out to Frank on this most recent check in! Thanks for taking great care of me! Y'all are the best!

  I always rent with National when I'm flying to different locations. This location is usually awesome and all of the employees great. My last two visits to the location didn't go great though. My last visit on 8/9/2026 around 9 pm was bad. The shorter gentleman at the emerald booth made my experience bad. Upon walking up to the emerald booth, I notified him that I had a specific rental type (Full Size SUV). He asked me if I was emerald or executive to which I let him know I was executive. Without me asking or looking for anything, he said I'm going to upgrade you. Then he proceeds to give me exactly what I rented. While I was fine getting what I rented, he was the one who said he would upgrade me and then proceeded to not do it. When I told him that the vehicle is not an upgrade, he proceeded to say that it's what I rented and that's what I get. Obviously, this is quite confusing since he was the one who brought up anything about upgrades. The employee gave me issues to try and get a Tahoe instead of the Wagoneer (same vehicle class). I had problems with the Jeep Wagoneer on my last visit (about 2 weeks prior) and didn't want one due to this. I had to drive 1 hour each way to swap out the vehicle and spend a bit in gas due to the distance last time. He kept telling me that they don't have any and that I would have to take what he is giving me. I asked at this point if it was possible to get an upgrade, since they don't have anything else in the class and due to my previous experience. He told me that he can't upgrade me and that I would have to take what he's giving me. Eventually due to my persistence and offering to wait until something else comes out, they found a Tahoe. This made me quite upset since it was a pretty quick process once he actually made the call and asked the staff for the vehicle. They found two Tahoe's within a few minutes. The first one was high mileage, so I would prefer not to take it (especially after having to swap out a vehicle on my last visit). The second one was like brand new and I had no problems during the rental. I'm rating this location lower than I would normally due to my last two experiences. I didn't go into details but my previous vehicle swap out didn't go smoothly either due to the lady working the emerald section on 7/24/2026 around 12:22 am. The lady working the returns section was great and she should get recognized for being a great employee.

  I’ve rented from National Car Rental at PHX Sky Harbor three times, and every experience has been great. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and professional. During my most recent return, Riley handled my checkout. He was extremely friendly and professional and made the entire checkout process quick and seamless. I highly recommend National Car Rental, not only for their excellent customer service but also for the great selection of cars they offer. I’ll definitely continue renting from National!

  I had an excellent experience with National Car Rental at Phoenix Sky Harbor, and one employee in particular really stood out. I believe her name was Alexis or Alex, I apologize if I’m remembering it incorrectly. The first time I interacted with her, I had a lot of extra baggage, and without hesitation she helped carry it all the way to my rental car. The second time, I was dealing with an issue involving my travel agent and rental reservation, and once again, she went out of her way to help me get everything sorted out. Both times, she was nothing but smiles, positivity, and genuinely great customer service. She made stressful travel situations significantly easier, and experiences like this are the reason I have such a positive impression of National. Employees like her are an incredible asset to the company, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
