- JAjose angeelMay 7, 20261.0I am beyond disgusted with the experience I had at this AutoZone yesterday evening. Before coming in, I called ahead, got a quote on my headlight replacement, and specifically asked if they install headlights there. I was told yes, so I came in expecting professional customer service. The second I walked in and the cashier saw me, his entire attitude toward me was nasty, cold, and disrespectful. He wouldn’t look me in the eye, spoke to me with an aggressive and dismissive tone, and made me feel completely unwelcome from the start. It became very obvious to me that the issue was my sexuality. I have never felt so uncomfortable and judged just trying to get help as a paying customer. There was absolutely no reason to treat me differently other than the fact that I am gay, and that is unacceptable. No one deserves to feel discriminated against or looked down on because of who they are. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect I experienced was shocking. If AutoZone allows employees to treat LGBTQ+ customers this way, then management seriously needs to step in and address it immediately. I will not be returning to this location after being treated like I was less than everyone else simply because of my sexuality.
