- LELatoya EdwardsJun 27, 20261.0The assistant manager on duty at the time appeared to be training another employee. The assistant manager told me to turn off my car, in which I did, and pulled my keys out. The employee completed the oil change. I was then told to turn my car back on. My car wouldn’t start. The battery has been drained. When I asked what happened, the assistant manager told me that it looks like the lights were on in accessory mode. They used a machine to charge my battery back up, but it didn’t work. They tried again and were able to get my battery working, even though it tested “bad.” The assistant manager tried to upsell me a battery, but I told him that before I came here my battery tested “good” (they used a machine to test it before completing the oil change). But now it is testing bad and they want me to pay for a new battery battery, even though it was due to their negligence of ensuring the car was in whichever mode it needed to be before proceeding to change my oil. I called to make a claim. I did not receive a follow up. My battery was hesitating for the next two days and then died completely. I had to purchase a new battery, even though before I went to Valvoline it was in good condition. This was my very first time going to Valvoline and I am disappointed. I usually go to jiffy lube.
