I am beyond disgusted by the treatment I received at Dash Car Wash South Mesa location.
I came back because my vehicle was NOT properly cleaned after my wash the day before. Since this business advertises a guarantee policy, I simply returned expecting professional customer service and a resolution. One employee was initially willing to help, but another older Caucasian male Hector he said his name was immediately inserted himself into the conversation with an aggressive, hostile attitude from the start.
Instead of listening, he repeatedly interrupted me, talked over me, questioned my integrity, and acted as if I was trying to scam a FREE wash. When I explained that “the two employees there yesterday were Mexican” simply identifying who was working he instantly accused me of being racist. That accusation was ridiculous, offensive, and completely out of line.
I’m from Boise, Idaho. I grew up around mostly Caucasian people, and where I’m from, describing someone’s race is simply a way to identify who you’re talking about not hatred. I have ZERO issue with Mexicans or anyone else. The fact that he weaponized that comment to avoid accountability says a lot more about HIM than me.
What made this even worse was his attitude afterward. He questioned whether the dirt spots were already on my car, even after I told him I had timestamped photos. His response? “What does that help me?” Seriously? That is NOT how you speak to paying customers.
Then he falsely claimed he was the owner and told me there was “no number to call,” even though there clearly IS contact information publicly listed online. That alone felt dishonest and intentionally dismissive.
As a Black woman, I absolutely felt an undertone of hostility and disrespect throughout this interaction that I do not believe every customer would have received. Whether intentional or not, the way I was spoken to was degrading, combative, and completely unacceptable.
Customer service is not just about washing cars it’s about how people are treated when something goes wrong. This location failed miserably at both.
Corporate management seriously needs to evaluate who they have representing this business because that employee was rude, confrontational, unprofessional, and clearly incapable of handling a simple customer concern respectfully.
I will NEVER return to this location, and I strongly encourage others to think twice before spending their money here.
