  We were told our rotors were resurfaced and here I am letting you know the work they completed was not done very well. It is now costing me more money to get the whole front brakes and rotors replaced. Carrying on with the previous review, save yourself some time and please take your businesses somewhere else. Stick to a trusted mechanic or the dealer. We wasted our money, time, and energy at this place. You’re welcome in advance.

  We've had a bad experience recently with the front brakes that we paid for. We feel that there was poor workmanship completed on our vehicle. On September 21st we waited an hour to have our brakes inspected for free. Nate from the Marana, AZ (new location) told us the front brakes had 4 millimeters remaining. My husband asked Nate if he recommends getting the brakes replaced now due to a planned upcoming road trip from Southern Arizona going up to Colorado in the mountains. Nate said yes that the brakes need to be replaced. My husband had a 3pm appointment on October 1st, he waited 3 hours in the shop, as this is our only one vehicle we own together, and was given the vehicle back before closing time and he was the last customer to leave. Upon driving the vehicle on the freeway, when braking to slow down or come to a stop, the steering wheel would vibrate and rapidly shake. This occurred on October 2nd while we were on our road trip which was to go up to Colorado, which we never made it and this trip was for our 1 year anniversary. On that same date of October 2nd, we stopped at Brakes Plus in Flagstaff, AZ and that shop told us they were 98% sure it was a tire balance issue. So we took it across the street to Discount Tire, which is who they recommended. Discount Tire checked the front tires and they told us that the front brakes felt rough to the touch and they questioned if the rotors were resurfaced?? We told them yes, that's what Marana Brakes Plus told us. However; after we got to inspect and touch it for ourselves, we came to the conclusion that the rotors may have not been resurfaced properly and also the front brakes may not have been brand new, (which we paid for brand new brakes)! Additionally, while we were driving on October 2nd, my husband called Marana Brakes Plus, explained the situation of the shaking steering wheel when braking, they told him that we can bring it in or take it to another Brakes Plus location and they would honor the warranty, but my husband told them that it looks like the rotors need to be replaced and Nate said yes it sounds like it would need to be replaced. Prior to all of this, from getting the front brakes inspected and replaced (with new ones we were expecting) we had zero issues with the steering wheel shaking, it never occurred. We are both unsatisfied with the work done on our vehicle and we are frustrated with the run around from 3 different locations that are giving us mixed answers. We unfortunately had to cancel our road trip and cancel our hotels which we had to pay a cancelation fee that should not have not happened due to dishonest and sloppy work completed. We had both our father's look and they suspect that used brakes were installed and possibly incorrectly. We are hoping that Nate and Rafael will make this right, that is all we are asking for is honesty.

  Unprofessional and sloppy work by their technicians. Got home and quickly had puddle of oil in my garage due to the oil filter not being installed correctly. I addressed issues with their store manager Rafael and he had zero customer service skills, was rude and had an attitude problem for an issue they created. Save yourself some headaches and stay away from this place.

  Not a good first visit to the new location. Dropped my work vehicle off at 9am for an oil change, they didn't call me to pick it up until 20 minutes before they closed. Got home with my vehicle and now dripping oil onto my driveway. Open the hood and could smell oil burning, someone obviously spilled new oil while pouring but decided not to even try to clean it up. Tool the cover off the valve cover and there is just a pool of oil in the spark plug galley and oil around the exhaust header. Careless and no quality control from my first visit.

  Went in for the oil change/ rotate tires special. They completed this task as well as a complete inspection ( for free) . They discovered the driver side cv axle clamp on the upper boot had come off, allowing the grease to come out. I know this had to happen within the past month because of brake work completed then . Made an appointment to return, have fixed. Manager Rafael, customer service representative “Nate”, worked with me through the process, they both provided excellent customer service. The price was lower than quoted, very reasonable. I have used brake plus out of state ( we’re snowbirds) for 6 plus yrs back home and have always been treated very well, and I will now use this “brake plus” as my go to while in AZ for the winter. I would highly recommend this new location. ( PS: the 1/2 off oil change special is tough to beat)
