Customer service has a lot of room for improvement. Got an electrical test for my battery and alternator. Employee looked annoyed to be there, tested the battery which failed and said they couldn't test the alternator since battery failed. Employee removed all the test equipment and started walking away and told me to have a good day without any offer to help me find a new replacement battery. Highly recommend going to O'Riley's instead of AutoZone, they tested my electrical system multiple times, and even recommended I come to AutoZone to double check their results on the alternator. Ended up going back to O'Riley's for the new battery because their customer service was better.

The location is great, but I must admit the Customer Service and knowledgeable employees is very lacking.

Well how do I start about a year ago I bought windshield wiper blades from auto-zone for my Tesla model 3. today I tried to go back and purchase windshield wiper blades again. a kid who looked up my car gave dimension size grabbed the product and sold me some blades, that didn’t fit my Tesla at all when I went home. I go back two days later to exchange I get it we are all human things happen. the manager then says they don’t carry windshield wiper blades that fit my Tesla and refunded my money…. I looked online they did in fact have the brand and specific windshield wiper blade, I saw it on the shelf if a manager doesn’t know this why should I buy parts and spend my money there. I then went to O,Riley auto parts and they put it on for free and sold it 10$ cheaper in town, way better service. In that same day my motorcycle battery has a warranty at Auto-zone I went back to possibly get an exchange and or buy a new battery. A new hire couldn’t tell me what battery I had and if it was under warranty or what type of battery it was, even when I had it sitting on the counter in front of her. The manger didn’t not recognize the situation and in the middle of this new hire struggling, she called on him but he was on the Phone and didn’t acknowledge the fact that she was having a hard time. Im very disappointed at the training and managers they have at this location they were great with the old staff when this place first opened. The only competent person left is Travis, he has been there since the opening and understands how the store runs more than any of the store managers or any chain of command there. For some reason they decided to waist his talent and put him down from a manager to an employee. If this branch wants to keep open they need to fix and shuffle competent and carrying people into leadership roles. Until they do that I suggest everyone go to O,Riley and save the headache.

I have been going to this Autozone since it opened in fountain hills. The last few times I have gone in I have been very disappointed. It seems like they are not educating the new employees on how to do the simplest things or they just don’t care. I went in for wiper blades and the manager there straight up told us they didn’t carry them rather than go look with us. I know for a fact they have some that fit since we had gotten them there previously. Then back the same day for a battery and the lady did not know how to even look up our warranty. As an ex employee at this particular location it is very disappointing to see the lack of training and customer service given by the current team. I’m not sure if the management isn’t taking the time to train or they just don’t care. I know it can be tough sometimes in retail have been in their shoes, but this just seems like a new low. The only reason I’m giving two stars and not one is because I still respect one employee in particular. Travis very knowledgeable and hard working. He knows his stuff and goes above and beyond. He is the one who kept me coming back. Hopefully management can turn things around but I’ve only seen a decline in this location.
