After discovering a serious issue with my rental vehicle while vacationing in Sedona, I was directed to the Cottonwood Enterprise location for assistance. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
The vehicle was ultimately diagnosed with a cracked rim and deemed unsafe to drive. Throughout the process, communication was inconsistent, and I received conflicting information regarding replacement vehicle availability. Tyler was particularly unhelpful and, at one point, suggested I Uber to the Cottonwood location to pick up a replacement vehicle despite previously stating that no vehicles were available.
Thankfully, Brandon with Roadside Assistance stepped in and provided the level of customer service I had been hoping for.
While I appreciate Brandon's assistance, my experience with the Cottonwood location added unnecessary stress to what should have been a relaxing vacation. If dealing with Tyler was my only option, I would NEVER consider using the Cottonwood location.

Frankie Lunn was great. Easy to work with. Love the after hours drop off despite the website saying "After-hours returns not available." Kept me from being stressed about being back in Cottonwood in time.

This company has such an excellent team they are very caring people. I had a rental car that I rented in Scottsdale and got a blowout this car had a donut and I was so nervous to drive it back to Scottsdale that when I called Enterprise they were able to swap the car out for me in cottonwood The people in cottonwood and Scottsdale are just absolutely amazing they are very caring and organized. The cottonwood office had a car ready for me and knew my situation, Frankie was the person who helped me he even helped me put all my luggage from one car to the other excellent team and wonderful people do not rent from any other company!

Had everything ready when I arrived. Signed paperwork . Keys handed to me. Away i went
So on Saturday, we rented a car from Enterprise for our weekend trip. We only needed it for one day, and since Enterprise was the closest rental location to our hotel, we decided to give them a try.
I understand holiday weekends can limit availability, but when we arrived, there were actually several cars sitting on the lot. Unfortunately, the vehicle we were given was a Mitsubishi that felt extremely underpowered and poorly maintained. Acceleration was very weak, the air conditioning barely worked, and with temperatures over 100 degrees outside, the drive became very uncomfortable.
What surprised me most was the price. The one-day rental ended up costing nearly $200, which made the experience even more disappointing. For that kind of cost, customers should at least receive a vehicle that feels safe, reliable, and comfortable in extreme weather conditions.
I rent cars fairly often, including from Enterprise, so this experience stood out compared to previous rentals. I think Enterprise could improve by:
• Better maintaining older vehicles
• Removing poorly performing cars from the fleet
• Ensuring air conditioning systems are fully functional
• Offering customers better options when inventory is available
• Providing more attention to overall vehicle quality and customer comfort
I’m sharing this as honest feedback because I’ve had positive experiences with rental companies before and hope Enterprise improves the experience for future customers.
