7/10/26, my husband went into the store to replace our car battery per our mechanics suggestion. There were 3 three females working the counter. They have a free battery replacement service, and we've used them before. The youngest woman asked what my husband needed and when he responded, she immediately started complaining that she "... oh no! I almost got sick the last time I had to replace a battery!" My husband chose what battery he wanted, and told the 3 ladies that he had parked in the shade so it would be less hot. The younger gal started complaining again, so one of the other ladies said she would change it. When she saw it was a Prius, she complained, "....Oh no, a full hybrid? Last time I tried to change a full hybrid, I almost broke something!" My husband replied that it was easy to get to, we're talking the engine battery, not the batteries that make it a hybrid. So, in the shade she replaced the battery with zero problems. Ironically, when the lady came out of the back with a cart, tools and battery the younger "sick" lady told her she wanted an attitude adjustment from the gal that actually replaced it! 1. The younger gal needed an attitude adjustment, and was way out of line to tell ANYONE that since her Customer Service was nonexistent. 2. It was obvious that the 2nd lady was complaining about our hybrid before looking under the hood. 3. Autozone needs to hire people who are schooled on Customer Service, and hire folks who WANT to work for them, doing the job the company says customers should expect. 4. 2 of the 3 women openly did a disservice to their company, as well as the customer. Shame on them!!! Shame on Autozone if they are aware of the problem!
