  ⭐️ 1 Star — Buyer Beware My wife and I purchased a used 2024 Salem travel trailer from Camping World in Lowell, Arkansas earlier this year, and unfortunately the experience left us extremely disappointed. From the beginning, we made it clear that we already had our own financing arranged at a significantly better rate. When it came time to complete the purchase, we learned Camping World did not yet have the title paperwork and information our lender required. Because of that, we ended up having to use Camping World’s financing temporarily at a higher rate and additional monthly cost. Once the title and registration issues were resolved, we had to go through the financing process again, including another credit pull, just to refinance it with the lender we intended to use from the start. The biggest warning I would give anyone shopping here is this: Buyer beware of the aftermarket inspection/detail/camping package. We spent thousands of dollars on this package. Most of the camping items included were things I already owned. The reason I agreed to purchase it was because we were told the camper would receive a thorough technician walkthrough, issues needing repair would be identified, and the unit would receive a complete interior and exterior detail. That is not what we received. The “detail” appeared to be little more than a basic vacuum, sweep, and surface-level cleaning. After getting the camper home, we found bugs, debris, dirt, stains, and grime underneath and behind furniture and in areas that clearly had not been touched. I personally had to clean and vacuum underneath cabinets, sinks, dressers, couches, and other areas that should have been part of any legitimate full detail. For the amount of money we spent, we could have hired a professional detailer independently and had the camper truly cleaned from top to bottom. Instead, we spent thousands and still ended up doing much of the cleaning ourselves. The technician inspection was also disappointing. We found multiple issues that either did not work properly or should have been identified during a thorough walkthrough, including a stabilizer issue and a faucet that did not work properly. The mattress replacement was another problem. This camper uses a specific custom-size mattress for the Versa-Tilt bed system. Instead, a standard king mattress was installed, which interferes with how the bed and surrounding doors are supposed to function. Then came pickup day. When we originally looked at the camper, it was staged very well and appeared to be in good condition. When we came back to pick it up, there was significant visible damage on the front of the camper that looked like hail damage. I was told the damage was preexisting, but I do not recall seeing anything remotely that extensive when we originally inspected the unit. I was so focused on the exterior condition and getting those issues addressed that I did not catch everything inside until after we got the camper home. Camping World ultimately offered some compensation, but that did not change the overall experience. Taken together, the financing situation, title issues, condition of the camper, missed repairs, incorrect mattress, exterior damage dispute, and especially spending thousands on an inspection/detail package that did not deliver what was represented made this an extremely disappointing purchase. My advice: inspect the camper yourself, verify the title paperwork before committing, and seriously reconsider spending thousands of dollars on the aftermarket inspection/detail package. Based on our experience, it was a complete waste of money. We expected considerably better from a company the size of Camping World, and based on our experience, we would not purchase from this location again.

  Had my trailer since July. Will never call you back leave countless messages Now they are saying the part they said came in never actually came in and they pushed me to October. Ask to speak to manager still no call back. With the backburner service I have received I probably will not by from Camping World. Ps if you call they will not call you back

  After visiting seven different camper dealerships and looking at probably 50 different campers, we ultimately came back to Camping World—and a huge reason for that was our salesman, Scott. We dealt with a lot of salespeople along the way, and many of them were overly pushy and made the experience feel like it was all about making a sale. Scott was completely different. He was genuine, laid-back, knowledgeable, and treated us like real people instead of just another paycheck. He gave us the space we needed, answered our questions honestly, and made the entire process comfortable and enjoyable. That kind of customer service is hard to find, especially after seeing firsthand how different the experience can be elsewhere. We can't thank Scott enough. If you're shopping for a camper at Camping World, I highly recommend asking for him. He made all the difference for us.
