Not a lot of fleet selection for premium SUV but the truck we had was nice. The manager, Deandre, had great customer service skills and platitude attitude. He ensured us that our concerns about our vehicle were taken seriously and was very accommodating.

We received a free upgrade because Alamo didnt have the car we ordered on the lot. The car was roomy, comfortable and clean but the associates who worked with us made it better. I can’t speak for all locations but the associates we dealt with in Little Rock, AR were extremely fast, courteous, and friendly. Kudos to Alamo for hiring great people

I travel regularly for business and have rented a lot of vehicles over the years, but this was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Shortly after picking up my vehicle, I noticed a warning light related to the collision avoidance system. I also noticed signs that the vehicle had previously been damaged. Since I was already on my way to a meeting, I called Alamo immediately to report it. After my meeting, things got worse. Multiple warning lights came on and several safety systems shut down. The brakes were also squeaking and pulsating. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable driving the vehicle, especially since I was about to travel across Arkansas into Oklahoma. When I called for assistance, I was directed to an Enterprise location, only to find out they had no vehicles available. I was then told to drive across town to the airport Alamo location. A large portion of the fuel used in the vehicle was a direct result of following Alamo’s instructions to exchange a vehicle that should never have been rented in that condition. When I arrived at the airport location, I explained that I needed a safe, reliable vehicle for business travel. The representative could have been much more understanding of the situation. The replacement vehicle I received, a Nissan Rogue, was not much better. It had over 43,000 miles, the seats were dirty, there was a strong odor that smelled like smoke, and there was a noticeable rattle coming from the front driver’s side. On top of that, the oil change required message appeared every time the vehicle was started. What surprised me most was the overall condition of both vehicles. They were high-mileage, poorly maintained, and honestly looked and felt worn out. I’ve rented from many companies over the years and have never been given vehicles in this kind of condition. When I returned the vehicle in Oklahoma City, I was informed there was a charge for a quarter tank of gas. I explained that I had only used about 50 miles worth of fuel, and most of that mileage came from driving between locations while trying to exchange the original unsafe vehicle. The gentleman assisting me in Oklahoma City was professional, understanding, and immediately agreed that the charge should be removed. He was the only part of this experience that left a positive impression. My biggest concern is that a vehicle with active safety warnings and braking issues was rented to a customer in the first place. That should never happen. This experience cost me time, created unnecessary stress during a business trip, and left me questioning the condition and maintenance of Alamo’s fleet. Based on this experience, I do not plan to rent from Alamo, National, or Enterprise again.
