Alamo doesn’t even put people at the desk at the Alamo counter. You have to go to another company to have them do Alamo’s job. Absolutely unacceptable for a company that wants to do business with anyone.

Dear Alamo Customer Support Team, I am writing to express my frustration regarding my recent car rental experience for my trip to Little Rock. I reserved a vehicle 3 days in advance. However, when I arrived at the Alamo counter, it was completely unattended, and I was told to go over to the Enterprise counter. After waiting for my turn, I was informed that you did not have the vehicle type that I had reserved. This experience was extremely disappointing and caused an unnecessary disruption at the very beginning of my trip. Thank you so very much.

We rented a Grand Wagoneer from Alamo at the Little Rock airport for 6 days. We were staying in Fayetteville, AR, which is 3 hours away. On the third day, the air conditioner quit in the vehicle. When we called Alamo, the first person could not find our rental information. She had us call someone else. The second person had no solution except to call yet another person. Their solution? Drive it back 3 hours to Little Rock to exchange it at the Alamo there. There are several Alamo locations near Fayetteville, within 35 minutes. But,according to the person we talked to, we could not use one of those. They makes absolutely no sense! Spending 6 hours (3 of those with no air) on the road to exchange the car was their only suggestion. They offered no other options. Also, the vehicle was solid black with a solid black interior. It was mid-September with temps in the 95-99° range. It is currently 8:02 pm and 91°. Is this REALLY the best Alamo can do? Are customers really this unimportant? If so, Alamo is not my choice and I will spread the word.
