- LLLinda LayneJun 24, 20261.0When I have purchased fuel at Maverick, my experiences have been great. However, on this trip, I went in for a single bottle of water because it was a hot day. The sign indicated 2 for 3.50. I took only one bottle, not 2. I was charged the full $3.50. When I asked about the price, a manager said I had to buy both. I asked if 2 were $3.50, why wasn't 1 bottle $1.75 plus tax? The manager said it doesn't work that way. In my opinion, unless the signs say that, it's false advertising. I have never experienced that at a gas station before.
