  I”ve set the bar low for rental car companies: “no unpleasant surprises”. Even that low bar is hard to achieve. But, National did well. However… The desk agent had infinite patience with a very difficult customer in front of me. Mubturn came and he greeted me perfectly, as though I was the first person of the day. The rental went well. Upon return, the return agent stationed outside was just as perfect. It’s been decades since I’ve had customer service interaction that good. This is the way things used to be when traveling. Travel has become nothing more than a “necessary evil”, and your agents at XNA punched through the sullen face of business travel well enough for me to actually do a positive review to break the draining, and unfulfilling monotony of negative reviews. Thank the team at XNA for me… they’re keepers for sure!

  Would never rent from National again. Total mess, they won’t resolve the issue. Was suppose to be out $186 and I’m out $450. Charged me for gas although car was returned full but given to me less than full. We have called been hung up on by the escalation team, management refuses to call us back.

  My flight this past week was significantly delayed - got in at 1-something am - but the XNA airport location stayed open way later than closing time to allow those on my flight to pick up their rentals. Really appreciate the staff going the extra mile. I’ve flown into XNA 8+ times in the past 6 months, and the team at that location are always incredibly nice and helpful.

  Rented a car that had a terrible odor. When I went to swap it, associate Luke was rude and unhelpful. He told me to come back tomorrow despite clean cars being visibly available on the lot right now. Completely unacceptable customer service.
