  As a Loyal National Customer who needed to rent a car all I can say is how disappointed I am with National tonight. Needed a vehicle and booked online. After having to get a ride to the airport I walked in. When I approached the counter the representative asked if I booked today. I replied yes, he smirked and said we dont do same day reservations you should have gotten an email that your reservation was canceled. I had not so I asked for something in writing, he began to lament how many other cars were already booked and that he had no control...no he could not provide proof the reservation was cancelled.canceled. If you think your executive elite rental status matters it doesnt. DONT RENT SAME DAY it will NOT be honored at this location. National please just put in a humanless Emerald Aisle at this location, it would be more polite and provide better service.

  Long wait & horrible customer service from Preston. 30 minutes waiting for keys while other customers were served. Better rates and service elsewhere

  This XNA National car rental agency is wonderful. Rental desk is just downstairs. Desk agents were friendly and gave us an awesome vehicle. Some type of new Volkswagen SUV. There was no Emerald aisle/skipping the counter but there was also no line inside. The rental lot is just out the door. Return was a little confusing but I stopped in at the desk while my husband waited outside and they said just go up and turn right into where we picked up the car. There were no agents outside so we just parked it in a return space and dropped the keys off at the desk. Didn't have to wait for any paperwork or anything. Great experience!

  I”ve set the bar low for rental car companies: “no unpleasant surprises”. Even that low bar is hard to achieve. But, National did well. However… The desk agent had infinite patience with a very difficult customer in front of me. My turn came and he greeted me perfectly, as though I was the first person of the day. The rental went well. Upon return, the return agent stationed outside was just as perfect. It’s been decades since I’ve had customer service interaction that good. This is the way things used to be when traveling. Travel has become nothing more than a “necessary evil”, and your agents at XNA punched through the sullen face of business travel well enough for me to actually do a positive review to break the draining, and unfulfilling monotony of negative reviews. Thank the team at XNA for me… they’re keepers for sure!

  Would never rent from National again. Total mess, they won’t resolve the issue. Was suppose to be out $186 and I’m out $450. Charged me for gas although car was returned full but given to me less than full. We have called been hung up on by the escalation team, management refuses to call us back.
