While traveling back to Maryland, I had a blowout and arrived about 20 minutes before the service department opened. I waited in front of the service garage, assuming someone would at least acknowledge me since staff were already inside. No one came out, so I went inside to explain that I needed new tires. Unfortunately, no one greeted me—everyone just continued talking or looking at their computers. When I finally approached someone and explained my situation, the response I received was a cold “Service is closed.” There was no empathy, no offer to help, and not even a recommendation for where I might be able to get assistance nearby. Considering I was far from home and stranded, the lack of customer care was shocking and not at all what I would expect from Mercedes-Benz. What made it worse is that staff clearly saw me waiting outside for 20 minutes, yet no one thought to step out and let me know the department was closed or offer any guidance. It left me feeling not only frustrated but also unwelcome. This experience did not reflect the professionalism and care I’ve come to associate with Mercedes-Benz.
