The poorest experience I’ve ever felt with at a Camping World, I don’t know how this location stays in business!!

John M was fantastic to work with. He went above and beyond to help me out as a new RVer. Highly recommend

Worst costumer service. I paid for the 45 point inspection to get 1 paper with chicken scratch. No parts ordered or recommended. Was there 25days. 330$ down the drain. Taking it across the street

My experience with this dealership was very disappointing due to a lack of transparency and communication.
I authorized a credit inquiry and was initially presented with a financing offer of 10.99% for 144 months. After expressing concern that both the interest rate and loan term were excessive, I was told they had reduced the rate to 8.99% and shortened the term to 120 months.
When I got home, I wanted to carefully review the proposal and requested a copy of the credit inquiry that had been performed, along with information about the bank or lender supposedly offering those terms.
I was then told that my application had not been submitted to any bank.
Naturally, I asked a simple question: if my application was never submitted to a bank, where did the 8.99% financing offer come from?
I also requested transparency regarding my own credit information and the financing terms being presented. I made it clear that I would not move forward with the purchase until I received that information.
My message was read, but I received no response. I waited the rest of that day, the entire night, and much of the following morning without receiving any explanation regarding basic questions about my own credit inquiry and the financing offer being presented to me.
When I ultimately informed them that I had decided not to move forward because of the lack of transparency, I was told that the sales representative had been out of the office for the past few days. However, I had personally visited the dealership and spoken with her during that same time period.
The issue was never the monthly payment. The issue was the lack of transparency, the lack of follow-up, and the failure to provide clear answers when I requested information related to my own credit inquiry and financing terms.
When a business uses a customer’s credit as part of a transaction, that customer deserves clear answers, verifiable information, and honest communication.
Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, which is why I chose to take my business elsewhere.

UPDATED: Lowered my review 1 star after this.
After my initial review I was told to email the VIP folks. I did, explaining everything that happened. I received an email and a voice mail to contact them for more details. When I did, I got worse help. Iwas told I need to work this out with the Salem location and that they would put me in contact with the general manager. I said what's the point, as they had reached out to him already and his only response was, that we paid the trailer in full. Like, they are stuck with it so why should I care. If Pete cared he would have reached out to us directly and made it work. Last rant to this email, the Airelume we did buy, after a week, had the awning fall out of the track and ruin the arms of it. Everything about camping world is a joke and I will make sure everyone I talk to knows it.

Sales lady was great to work with. Showed us many different units despite have a bum foot. The tech that got the trailer set up was great. Helped out tremendously with getting the new rig ready to move. The finance department left a lot to be desired. As we were looking for rigs we told them time and time again this was a full time living situation. They told us, dont tell the banks that because they dont do loans for full time RVers.
Mark, in finance, told us that he was sending our paperwork through and that if we didnt hear back in a week we were to head to the Salem Camping World, to get the new rig and get the paper work completed. We go there on Tuesday, got everything signed and was told that we have our loan and our good to go.
However after swapping out rigs, driving over an hour home, we were told two days later that the bank they found us does not allow full time living. So we spent two hours transferring over everything to the new trailer only to now be told we either have to pay the trailer in full or bring it back.
When asked if there was any way to lower the price due to the fact this was their mess up and their inability to be upfront about the living situation, they said no. We had to find a way to get the money another way or drive the trailer back and spend another two hours getting the old trailer back. All in all we were lucky we found the money. It was way to stressful and Camping World did nothing to make this right but stress us out. Even talking with corporate customer service, their only response was you are obligated by a contract to either fulfill it or bring the trailer back.
If you are paying the trailer off in full and looking for a good price, then try Salem Camping World. If you are financing and doing fulltime RVing, don't bother. They will stick you with a trailer you can't do anything about but get screwed.
