This review is a few weeks overdue, but can't thank Anthony enough for going out of his way when I got stranded with my daughters on the way to Florida. It was a stressful enough situation, but Anthony turned over every stone to locate a hard to find tire for my SUV. Anthony, Bob, and the rest of the team were so friendly and kind, which you don't expect at a tire store. Once Anthony worked his magic to locate the tire, he personally drove me over to the other shop in Columbus, GA to pay and pick up the truck. I'm so grateful to Anthony and his team for making an otherwise stressful situation as easy and pleasant as possible.

Went to Mavis on Riverchase Dr. in Phenix City today for a tire rotation and oil change. I've had odd experiences here before but just needed a quick rotation to get me a little further on my tires so I took a chance and dropped it off for service.
Inside I talk with Bob. Bob goes and checks out my car. Lets me know the treads are very thin on my fronts and that my backs are almost in the "yellow" zone. I could easily see he was right. I've had some big bills already this month so I asked him if they could rotate my fronts to the backs, etc. and I’ll get new tires next month. I especially wanted the better tires on the front. He tells me he can do it however I tell him I want it done. Bob seems like a nice guy, so I leveled with him and let him know that I've had some "wacky" service from there before and I'm just not sure that I want tires from them. He assures me that now that he's there, things are better and he hopes I'll come back to see them for those tires.
Two hours later Bob calls to let me know that I'm needing new brakes and shocks. $449 per axle for the brake job. I let him know I'll have a friend do the work. He says everything is done and ready for pick up then.
Everything is good at pick up, Bob gives me a card with a couple of prices for different tires and asks if I'll come back and let them take care of my tires. I told him I want to shop around. He lets me know they can match other dealers except Sam's or Costco. He points to the front of the card where there is a QR code and asks for a review. I drive home and take a really good look at my tires. They did not rotate my front tires to the back like I asked and like Bob assured me they would. How do I know? Because Bob had taken so much care and time to make sure I got a good look at the difference in my front tires and back tires. It was obvious the low tread tires were still on the front. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they at least rotated left to right and right to left but He asked for a review. So I'm providing one.
Bob was very nice and seemed very professional and seemed to genuinely want me to come back, but if in attempt to win me back, the shop can’t do a simple thing like that, I definitely don't want to give Mavis $1000 for new tires or to do the brake job that I need that will be another $1000 plus shocks as well.
Granted this "mistake" alone wouldn't be such a bad thing. It could be human error, however, I’ve already had disappointing experiences here before. Last year, I came to have my alignment fixed and Anthony had me come back in the shop and climb a set of metal work steps up to my car on the lift to see how the alignment was so far off. I thought that was so strange and probably against a bunch of their safety and insurance guidelines. The whole interaction just seemed way off. The other time I booked an online appointment for 10ish a.m. for an oil change and rotation on a different car. Four hours later, my car was still sitting in the lot waiting to be done. What’s the point of having an appointment system if they’re just going to do it wherever anyway?
Overall, I just have not been impressed and they’ve lost my confidence in how they manage the business.
