The sales associate was very compassionate about my situation and understood that I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a tool I'd only use one time. After I finished speaking to her, I was leaving and trying to decide what to do. As I was exiting the doors, the manager came out to speak to me. He went to the computer and searched ways for me to get a discount on that tool. He was able to offer me 30% off! This store was the only one that actually tried to help me. I highly recommend this particular Advance Auto.

They said they replaced the new defective blades with the same kind I had bought a few years ago but that's not true, I discovered this later after I found my old receipt. Very disappointed.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
