  I travel often for work and as a result do a lot of business with national car rental. I decided to redeem a free rental day while we’re on vacation and when I arrived at the national desk, it was an absolute nightmare. Four people were waiting for keys, no cars were ready, and no one was communicating with customers. I’m on a tight timeline and I was able to walk over to the Hertz desk and was walking out with a car in about six minutes.

  Waited in line for 30-minutes, only to have to wait another 15 for a car that smelled like the inside of my dog’s colon.

  I would prefer to not give any stars if it were a possibility. every person that we have spoken with on the phone gives us the run around and claims that they simply do not have a phone number to reach a manager. As a result of a hit and run out of state we were forced to reserve a car with national to get our family back home safe. We reserved a 7 passenger minivan from Saturday July 18th at approximately 8:30AM and have returned the vehicle to Columbus, Ohio on Monday July 20th. The charges for three full days of a rental vehicle are totaling $1,002. An average rental for this size is typically $65-75/day. Not one person on the phone is willing to match prices, even those of your own website. This is so stressful to deal with ontop of an out of state hit and run and your employees are insensitive to this matter.
