I brought my new Ram 1500 Tungsten to Gerber Collision & Glass (Madison/Madison Blvd, 9624 Madison Blvd, Madison, AL 35758) for repairs following a deer collision. The vehicle was in the shop from April 27, 2026, through May 28, 2026.
When I was notified that my truck was ready for pickup, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. Upon inspection, I discovered new scratches on the side of the truck opposite the collision damage. Additionally, the paint work on the repaired area was unacceptable. The finish appeared dull and did not match the factory Diamond Black Crystal Pearl paint. The repaired surface contained visible paint imperfections, including flakes, and it was apparent that the paint shop was unable to properly match the original factory finish.
The quality-control issues extended beyond the paint itself. There was buffing compound embedded in the repaired paint and buffing residue throughout the vehicle. Dust from the buffing process covered the interior, suggesting the vehicle may have been buffed with the doors and windows open. I maintain this truck in pristine condition, and it was spotless when delivered for repairs. Finding the interior covered in buffing dust was unacceptable.
Buffing compound was also left on the tonneau cover, throughout the truck bed, and inside the RAM Box storage compartments. For a high-end vehicle, I expected much greater care and attention to detail.
Prior to repairs, I specifically pointed out deer hair lodged between the rear wheel rim and tire. The Gerber representative stated that the deer appeared to have struck that wheel and assured me the rim would be removed and inspected to verify it was not bent. However, when I picked up the truck, the deer hair was still present in the exact same location. This raises serious concerns about whether the wheel was ever removed and inspected as promised.
To make matters worse, the truck was returned to me filthy both inside and out. Given the condition of the vehicle and the deficiencies in the repair work, I refused delivery and returned the truck for corrective action.
As of this review, it has been one week since the vehicle was sent back for correction, and I have not received any update regarding its status. I will update this review once I am notified that the vehicle is ready and I have had an opportunity to evaluate the completed repairs. Update: 13 June 2026 My Ram Tungsten is still in the shop for corrective, I'm not sure who Brandon A frm Management is but he has Not reached out to me to discuss my concerns!
