  This is the first time domestic National has let me down. I had a reservation for a compact car. No inventory except for minivans. Whats the point of reserving weeks ahead

  Booked a car about a week or two ago. I flew in last night and was told they didn't have any cars available and couldn't provide service at all. Came back this morning and same answer "no cars available" and no options offered. I was supposed to be at work over an hour ago. Worst customer service no one here or phone is willing to help. EDIT TO ADD (08/05) A FEW THINGS I MISSED: as owner replied, if you have open ended reservations -- then you need to increase your fleet and have extra cars around to make sure you're always fully equipped to service all the confirmed reservations you receive. Or call your sister locations nearby to ask for cars. Also, staff literally didn't care at all and said "we won't be able to service you, bye". Didn't even offer checking inventory in other location or any alternative to help with getting a car. I had to call another location 15 mins away and Uber myself there to get a car. They had plenty in stock. As said, terrible service and avoid if you don't want to be stuck in the airport with no car and no customer support.

  National is one of the better rental car agencies in my opinion. They seem to have newer vehicles in better shape, that could just be the airport I normally rent from though. When I reserved my vehicle I picked a luxury SUV. The site said it would be an Audi or something similar. Audi SUVs are not huge. What I was given was a GMC Yukon, the biggest SUV out there. I paid the extra money for the luxury option to try out an Audi, BMW, Infinity, something along those lines. Not a GMC. While it is an expensive SUV, I don't consider it to be a luxury SUV. It got me where I wanted to go, but was not what I was expecting from the class description. In the future I may rent with National, but I will look around to see what else is out there and see if I can actually get something similar to what is described.

  I rent from National every single week. I am executive elite. I rent from this location once a month. It is very strange and very different than every other location. They don't have an emerald isle, even tho it says emerald isle. They will always give you some weird vehicle like a pickup truck or minivan or six passenger SUV when I just scheduled for something intermediate. They'll say" i have a ford pick up" and there's 45 vehicles in the aisle. The windshield has never been cleaned in all of my rentals the past 6 months. I normally recommend National but not at this location you might as well go with budget. Not to mention last time the detail girl brought up the vehicle at about 45 miles an hour in the parking lot. It's just poorly managed
