  I had a phenomenal experience renting from Alamo. It started right at the front desk with Kim, who checked me in. She was vibrant, warm, and genuinely happy to help — she turned what’s usually a routine process into a really pleasant part of my trip. Employees like Kim deserve recognition (and a raise!) for the way they represent the company!

  Oh my gosh! This was a GREAT rental experience. Booked easy online, couple minutes at the counter and off I went with my full size car at a steal of a price. 7 Days, 8 States & 5,300 miles later I dropped off the car by pulling up, handing the tech the keys and walking away. Emailed receipt within an hour, NO surprise charges, nothing but friendly helpful smiles from every human I was forced to deal with during the process. I will never hesitate to rent from Alamo again.

  This is the first time I’ve ever utilized Alamo in Huntsville, AL. I usually fly into Nashville when I visit Tennessee. I can’t say enough about how amazing the customer service was at Huntsville International Airport! Picking up my rental car was effortless and returning my rental was just as easy. I told myself that I really need to write down the names of the team members so they could get their richly deserved recognition!

  Alamo customer service is terrible. My GF booked us a car using a debt card. When we showed up at the airport, they said we needed a credit card. There was never any indication that the card we booked with would not work. She just moved, so the card was buried in a box somewhere. Went to the bank. They ordered a new card and gave us tap to pay on the phone through the new card. We called Alamo's customer service and were assured tap to pay would work. When we drove all the way back to the airport, they rejected it. No explanation, apology, or prior notice for any of this. We called customer service and asked to speak to a manager. Was told we would get a call back from one to address our situation. The call never came. We wasted an hour and a half, without so much as an apology. We live in different states. Alamo, you have lost thousands of dollars from us with the blatant disregard you show for us customers. Alamo's customer service is atrocious.

  Check-in was terrible. It seemed like the entire night crew does not know what they are doing. I reserved a small truck on purpose because that is what I needed. Told me they had to clean it and it would be a while. So, I was sitting and waiting. Then, later, told me they didn't have one. Gave me a choice of something else. Did the paperwork. Then I was sitting and waiting again. Then told me they didn't need to give me that one because it had a paper tag, since I was going out of Alabama. Gave me a Nissan Pathfinder, supposedly because it had a license plate. It had a paper tag. I went back to the booth to talk to the lady and they had changed personnel. It had already taken an hour and 20 minutes, so I just took the car. After that, everything was good, except they had me down to turn my car in by 7:30 pm, my original time to rent the car. It should have showed that I didn't receive the vehicle until 8:50 pm. I didn't notice until later that my rental agreement showed that rental time was 8:16 pm in one place and to start rental at 8:41 pm another place. When I went to turn in the vehicle, everything went smooth. Omari was proficient and professional. A very good representative of your company. I'm not sure I will rent with Alamo again.
