    We have very good experiences at the Hoover Mavis working with Donald. We have replaced brake pads & rotors, tires and had an oil and filter change and they’ve done a great job, always discuss any suggestions or issues with us.

    I had an inspection done at the Chelsea location to determine what all I needed for my brakes. After inspection I was told I needed rotors for the front only, and pads front and rear. I ordered all genuine Toyota parts from the dealership and had the labor performed at this location. After the install, my brakes started squealing first thing every morning, or when cold, and if wet from rain, washing the truck, etc. This has been going on since 05/17/25. I have tried to work with them at a store level and give them the opportunity to inspect their work. They have denied my request 3 times and blame bad parts without looking at them. They have finally said they will redo the labor at no cost, but now want me to supply new parts. My local Toyota Dealership was going to charge me a diagnostic fee to look and see what's going on, but when I talked to a tech he said he could do it under a "Multi Point Inspection" and not charge me. They found missing anti-squeal shims in the rear, no grease, and missing and broken hardware in the front. When I've spoken to store Manager’s, I've been asked if my name was ____ or ____ with the 4Runner. I've been told that they have had issues with other Toyotas. I can understand and be patient with you if you make a mistake, like with the alignment that took 3 times to get right. If you have a new tech that doesn't know that certain vehicles reuse old hardware and I can bring it back and have it looked at and made right, I'm good. If I have bad parts, then charge me to replace them, parts and labor! I'm not asking for anything for free. But do not lie to me, be rude, arrogant, and try to gaslight me, and continue to move the goal post! Don't you dare try to tell me that you can't honor my appointment because I "only made my appointment an hour before I got there." The appointment slot was available. Period. I made an appointment for Discount Tire to have my tires rotated and balanced and they honored my appointment. And it was only made an hour before I got there. I figured while I was in the area, I'd try again (3rd time) to have my brakes looked at. I guess I should've learned my lesson after how my alignment went. When it couldn't be done the first time, I was originally offered a refund and that was quickly shot down and was told to bring it back another time instead. My schedule didn't work out to come back when they wanted me to, so I tried another location that got it close, but still couldn't get it right. Had to bring it back a 3rd time when a certain tech was there that was well versed on alignments could get it dialed in. It's a shame you can't go to a shop that's supposed to specialize it a service, like brakes, tires, and alignments and get it done right the first time. That instead of scheduling an appointment that's convenient for you, the paying customer.... you will have to come back on days that are not convenient to you. All I wanted was to have this made right. I was nice, too nice. They got my truck finished quick when they did the brakes, (probably too quick, because look at where I am now) and I spent over $70 and had Papa John's delivered to feed everyone as a way to say thank you. Stupid me. I do not recommend using this location after my experiences. I left feedback after my initial appointment and it was internal and when I brought the truck back to have the alignment fixed the guys behind the counter were pointing at the screen talking about it. When I asked if there was an issue, the said they were just reading my notes and after my alignment was fixed, I was asked to leave a 5 star review; and against my better judgment I did. I have taken that review down and replaced it with this one. Please learn from my mistake(s). If you choose to use them, in my experience you're rolling the dice on whether or not they will help you, or gaslight you and continue to move the goal post to the point of "well, now that's its been this long...." Yeah, its been this long because I have been to patient, kind, and understanding.

    Rodney & Nate both took care of my issue in one of my tires. Service was timely and quick. Everything was discussed prior to repair to make sure the cost was agreeable. Would not take my vehicles to another shop.

    Brought a flat tire with a leaking valve in on a Sunday afternoon, after the Firestone I’ve always used turned me away due to being too busy to fit me in. I was in full panic & distress mode since I drive for a living, my rent was due the very next day & I was terrified I was about to spend my rent on a brand new tire. Nate was working that day, thank goodness, because he remained calm & relaxed throughout my stress-out time. Actually came outside and met me immediately after I’d parked. He reassured me that the opinion that the Firestone dude had offhandedly given me as a forewarning, wasn’t necessarily going to be true (it wasn’t thank God). He explained that John “knows what he’s doing and he can look at your tire and tell you honestly if he can fix it just by replacing the valve”. John checked my car in the lot and stated that he believed he could fix it in no time with just a valve replacement. I seriously was too scared to believe it all was true til the very end, when John drove my car out of the shop. This was a highly urgent, desperate & upsetting issue for me & these men both calmly reassured me repeatedly that it wasn’t as bad as I’d anticipated. 💯new customer of Mavis today. Bye bye Firestone. Thank you guys so very much for fixing my tire & returning me to the road in under 45 mins, guys!
