AWESOME SERVICE!!! I am so grateful for Danielle and V helping me out just now! I literally came across the street from the mall lot because my car was idling weird and I know how bad my oil leaks so I checked and of course it’s EMPTY!!! I had oil in the trunk like half quart left but I couldn’t get the oil cap off myself to add it in the car, so I was thinking “ok what can I do? I have to get to work soon” and then I remembered Mavis is right here across the street (since I’d just gotten my tires done here recently) so I turned the car on and PRAYED it wasn’t as bad as it looked, pulled up right in front and went inside to ask if they would mind helping me get the cap off so I could top it up real quick …. and she came outside right away with me and popped it off herself!! They went out of their way to help me make sure my car was taken care of properly and LAST MINUTE!!! Then Danielle even offered me the quart of oil so I didn’t have to go to Walmart and get another one. 🥹 Thank you thank you thank you!!!

⭐️ If I could give zero stars, I would.
My daughter-in-law absolutely LOVES her little Volkswagen Beetle. She has lovingly named it Paul Mc-Car-tney (which, honestly, is adorable 😂) and had it all decorated with stuffed animals and stickers. It was basically a tiny rolling personality.
She took Paul Mc-Car-tney to Mavis in Opelika, AL for what should have been the simplest thing imaginable: an oil change.
Somehow, they managed to turn an oil change into an episode of Pimp My Ride: Criminal Edition.
When she went to pick up her car, nothing worked.
The windows had been rolled down and would not go back up. The radio was dead. Lights were flashing all over the dashboard like the Beetle was trying to communicate with the mothership. And apparently, whoever worked on it decided that the screws were merely suggestions, because they were stripped and the inside had been messed with.
And before anyone asks: NO, none of this was happening before the oil change.
We took the car somewhere else, and they were able to fix everything easily. Their assessment was basically that whoever had worked on the car had been completely incompetent.
Mistakes happen. Cars are complicated. Things can go wrong.
But what really makes this experience unacceptable is that Mavis refused to take responsibility, refused to fix what they had done, and refused to provide a refund.
So apparently their customer service policy is:
“We broke it, you fix it, and please don’t bother us about it.”
Paul Mc-Car-tney went in for an oil change and came out needing therapy. 😂
If you love your car, I would strongly recommend taking it somewhere else. Because apparently at this Mavis, an oil change comes with a complimentary game of “What part of your car will stop working today?”
Absolutely terrible experience. Would NEVER recommend.
