- HXHao XieMay 2, 20261.0I brought my 2021 BMW X5 to Mavis Discount Tire for a simple brake fluid change. The car was fully functional when I arrived. After their service, my braking system was essentially disabled, with “Brake Boost” and “Chassis Stability” errors, making the car unsafe to drive. They also failed to complete my second request—resetting the brake fluid service notification—even after multiple attempts using their diagnostic tools. Mavis does not have the proper equipment to safely interface with BMW systems, yet they still attempted to connect to my vehicle. Resetting the brake fluid service notification does not even require connecting to the car’s system, but they did it anyway and caused further issues. I trusted this to be a professional auto service shop, but the experience was shockingly unprofessional. The staff and manager refused to take any responsibility and were dishonest about the condition of my vehicle. They told me the brake pedal was “just a bit stiff,” but failed to mention the two critical brake-related error messages and the fact that the braking system was essentially non-functional until I discovered it myself. Very unprofessional, lacked proper equipment for BMW vehicles, and refused to take responsibility. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location.
