  Car was very clean, newer, and plenty of amenities. 25' Toyota Camry. I drove the car all over the island, from one end of Juneau, Ak to the other. The end cost was 5 gallons of gas. I could not have been happier. Thank you for providing a quality car, it helped make the trip that much more enjoyable.

  We rented an SUV from Alamo in Juneau and received exceptional customer service. Our flight was delayed, and we were not going to arrive until after the office had closed. Traveling with a baby and knowing transportation options would be limited that late, we were concerned about getting to our lodging. Mark went above and beyond by speaking with his manager, Jacob, who kindly returned after closing to ensure we received our rental vehicle. Their willingness to help turned a stressful situation into a smooth experience. We greatly appreciate Mark and Jacob for their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to customer service. We highly recommend Alamo in Juneau and thank them for going the extra mile to take care of their customers. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  Overall Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ The Good: The staff inside the Juneau airport were friendly and helpful. The Bad: My family and I arrived via cruise ship and rented a large van to accommodate six of us. The vehicle was in terrible, unsafe condition. It had damage all around it, a badly cracked windshield, and a broken driver's side defroster. I literally had to wipe the fogged-up glass with a paper bag just to see the road, which is a massive safety hazard. Furthermore, the key fob was completely broken. The branch manager had to come out to the lot just to show us a tricky, complicated way to manually start it, jokingly mentioning they hoped to sell the van at the end of the season. The Worst Part: After picking up the rest of my family and driving to Mendenhall Glacier, the broken fob caused a nightmare. Unlocking the door manually triggered the car alarm. The horn blared and lights flashed continuously in the crowded national park. It was incredibly embarrassing. A kind stranger finally had to help me pull a fuse under the hood just to silence it. When I called the Alamo helpline, they refused to send anyone out because we were in a national park, basically wishing us "good luck" and telling us to drive it back to the airport if we could. Summary: We returned to the airport and swapped the vehicle. The agent was efficient but showed zero empathy. Alamo charged me full price for a defective, dangerous vehicle that completely inconvenienced my family and disrupted our trip. Great on-site staff, but terrible corporate maintenance and awful customer service. Never again

  I had a reservation for Memorial Day weekend that was made two months ago and then cancelled with a week’s notice. I booked another car right away with a different company, but because of the short lead time and limited stock, rates have gone up significantly. I’m now paying roughly 3x the amount I had originally planned for a rental car. After contacting corporate and the local office, it seems the attitude is that I’m just out of luck and expected to eat that extra cost. Apparently a delayed vehicle delivery caused them to be overbooked and I am one of 90 people losing their reservation. Most reasonable people understand that logistics issues happen, but the correct thing to do would have been upgrading to available stock, transferring us to another carrier while offering a price match, or I’m sure any number of other reasonable approaches. Instead, they shifted the financial burden of their mistake on to me (and in all likelihood, 89 other people). To address the owner response: I spent far too much of my time with customer service already, who made it abundantly clear they were uninterested. This is public and you have my name. You can contact me directly if you wish to resolve this.
