  I would give zero stars if I could. Our experience with Enterprise Fairbanks was absolutely horrible and unacceptable and turned an already exhausting travel day into a nightmare. We had a reservation to pick up a rental car at the airport at 1:00 AM, after traveling for more than 12 hours, with a confirmed price of approximately $450 for a midsized SUV as we were doing A LOT of driving during our trip. When we arrived at the Enterprise counter, we were told there were no cars available. What was even more frustrating was that we were not the only customers in this situation — there were at least six other groups some with young children standing there who also had reservations and were being told the same thing. When i asked the desk agen what my options were to get a car that night she told us "you dont have any." We were told that we could wait and hope that someone who was supposed to return a vehicle would bring it back soon. I said i was fine waiting until 8 or 9 in the morning to come back so we could check into our hotel and get some sleep while we "hope" for a car to return but were told that if we left the airport to go to our hotel, we would not be guaranteed a car although we did have a reservation and they knew our situation. This put us in an impossible situation because we had already traveled for 12+ hours, and if we did not get to our hotel by approximately 3:00 AM, we risked losing our hotel room and having to pay for it anyway. Enterprise made no effort to help us find an alternative vehicle or another solution. We ultimately had to walk around to the other rental car companies ourselves, explaining our situation and begging to find any available vehicle. After about an hour, another rental company finally told us they had one car left, a compact sedan. Unfortunately, because we were now desperate and had no other choice, we ended up paying roughly three times what our Enterprise reservation was supposed to cost for a much smaller car - but multiple groups were trying to get this "one car left" so we had no choice but to take it. The most infuriating part came afterward. When we went out to the rental car parking area, we could see numerous vehicles sitting there, including multiple cars in Enterprise's designated spaces, with no customers apparently waiting for or claiming them. After being told repeatedly that there were "absolutely no cars available", seeing empty vehicles sitting in the lot made the entire experience even more frustrating and simply disrespectful. I understand that rental companies can experience unexpected returns, delays, or inventory issues. What I do not understand is accepting reservations WEEKS or MONTHS in advance for a specific pickup time when you cannot actually provide the vehicles, and then leaving customers stranded in the middle of the night with no meaningful assistance and telling them to just hope and pray one becomes available. After traveling for more than 12 hours, the last thing we needed was to arrive at 1:00 AM with a reservation and be told that Enterprise had nothing for us and that our only option was to wait and hope. We made a reservation because we expected Enterprise to honor it. Instead, we were forced to find our own transportation and pay three times the original price. This was the worst rental car experiences I have ever had. The lack of preparation, communication, and customer assistance was extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend that Enterprise address how it handles reservations and situations where multiple customers arrive with confirmed reservations but no vehicles are actually available. Do better.

  I called them to verify they would accept a debit card. I told the guy to have a nice day when he tried recommending another company because they don't accept debit cards. He hung up on me. I was completely polite in my call and see that this branch does not provide good customer service and is very rude. Its sad because I've had very good experiences with enterprise at other locations.
