The technician work quick, that’s all I can say about the service, so not really sure if he did an excellent job.it’s been 24 hours since they replace my windshield, will find out in a few days. Front desk are terrible, they act that I would run away and not pay, act so frustrated when I asked a question regarding different invoice from the original quote.

I had paid extra to get new windshield wipers and a protective coating . They said the protective coating was done, but I had to come back as they didn’t have the blades available to install. It was raining that day, The coating was supposed to shed water, it did not. I asked them repeatedly about this. Finally, they said they would “reapply” it after install of the wiper blades. I don’t believe it was ever done, although they billed me and said it was. After my second trip to the Shop and after “reapplying“ the coating, it finally started to shed and repel the water. I went to them because it was through my insurance for a cracked windshield. I won’t visit this office again.

Overall, the windshield installation itself looks to be good, but my experience with the scheduling, pricing, and communication was pretty disappointing. I originally tried scheduling through the Safelite website, but I couldn’t select a date. Every location I tried near me had calendars completely blanked out for the next two months, so I ended up having to call. Even then, I wasn’t able to get an appointment within two weeks, which was frustrating. When I finally scheduled, I was emailed a quote for $370 for the windshield replacement. However, when I dropped the vehicle off, I was told the total would actually be $410. I was told the original $370 was apparently for the windshield only and did not include labor. What makes this even more confusing is that the receipt breaks it down as $310.15 for the windshield plus $99.99 for labor, totaling $410.14. If insurance had been covering the replacement, the extra $40 probably wouldn’t have bothered me as much, but since I paid the entire amount out of pocket, being quoted $370 and then told it would be $410 at the door was extremely disappointing. I also received 2–3 appointment reminder texts about 30 minutes after my appointment time, when I had already dropped the vehicle off. Obviously, those reminders weren’t very useful at that point. As for the actual installation, it appears to have been done well. One of the sensors next to the rearview mirror looks like it may have some damage, although I can’t say for certain whether it was there beforehand since I had only purchased the vehicle secondhand a few weeks ago. Overall, I’m happy with how the windshield installation appears to have turned out, but the scheduling difficulties, unexpected price increase, and poorly timed appointment reminders made the overall experience less than satisfactory. The biggest issue for me was being quoted $370 in advance and then having the price increased to $410 when I arrived.

The windshield replacement ran into some issues, and my vehicle was accidentally damaged during the install. The installer, i think his name was Trey, a very nice guy. The fellas at the Safelite shop really stepped up and helped me. The manager Scott, even had someone wait with my vehicle until a tow truck showed up, since my vehicle was not legal to drive without a windshield. The manager was even going to pay for a rental for me, but that ended up not happening because they got the repair fixed and the windshield replaced so quickly the next afternoon. I know the manager did all of this while he was short staffed or missing employees. Shout out to Kyle as well, very good assistant manager at the other location on old seward who was extremely professional and helpful. Great service from your team. The windshield looks great, and, it was a great price, about 500 dollars for a 4Runner. I got quotes at another place for twice that. Thank you all for a job well done.
