First time using enterprise and we had an amazing experience. Everyone we worked with was so nice and so accommodating. Jarrin went above and beyond getting us into a comfortable ride and because of that our trip was amazing and I’d be using enterprise again.

Our rental experience would have been excellent if not for what happened when we needed emergency roadside assistance. Before our trip, we purchased Enterprise’s full insurance coverage for peace of mind, knowing we would be driving through remote parts of Alaska. Unfortunately, we suffered a tire puncture in a remote area. We were initially promised a replacement vehicle, but the delivery kept getting cancelled. Based on the confirmed delivery, we cancelled an already-paid accommodation and booked another to fit the arrangement, only to be told the next morning that no service provider could be found to deliver the vehicle. We fully understand Alaska’s vast distances and logistical challenges, but it was frustrating to receive confirmation the night before only to be told, “No point continuing to call a service provider today—they’ll just cancel the job again. Best if you stay one more night.” Unfortunately, staying another night simply wasn’t an option as we were on a road trip schedule and still travelling on a spare tire. What made the situation even more difficult was the communication. We received more than 10 phone calls, had to repeat our situation to different representatives each time, and spent over six hours stranded with only one bar of mobile signal. There were also erroneous bookings made, resulting in repeated back-and-forth discussions before the situation was clarified. We believe everyone genuinely wanted to help, but better internal communication would have made a significant difference. That said, we truly appreciate the efforts of the management team. After we detoured to locate a repair shop, fixed the tire ourselves, and returned to Anchorage where Enterprise had nearby branches, they promptly offered us replacement vehicles. We were grateful for that service recovery and simply hope communication between the various teams can be improved so future customers don’t have to go through the same experience. After it became clear that a replacement vehicle was no longer possible in the remote area, we contacted Enterprise customer service again. We were instructed to have the tire repaired, keep the receipt, and request reimbursement upon returning the vehicle. Since we had purchased full insurance coverage and were following Enterprise’s own instructions, we proceeded in good faith. Unfortunately, when we returned the vehicle at the Anchorage Airport branch, the experience became disappointing. Rather than simply processing the reimbursement request or explaining the policy, we were made to feel guilty for asking. One staff member said: “Was your tire leaking since the start? If it only happened at the end, it was probably a nail you went over. Just to let you know, if this happens next time, they won’t be as nice as us to reimburse you.” [This is the most unacceptable part as there was no empathy, and considering our full insurance coverage]. This was particularly confusing because we had paid for full insurance coverage and had followed the instructions provided by Enterprise customer service. We weren’t asking for special treatment—we were simply doing exactly what we had been told to do. The inconsistency between customer service’s guidance and the airport staff’s response left us feeling unfairly blamed. We understand that different departments may have different procedures, but customers should not be caught in the middle or made to feel at fault for relying on Enterprise’s own advice. We hope communication between customer service, management, and local branches can be improved so customers receive consistent information and a seamless experience regardless of who they speak to. Aside from these issues, the rental itself was smooth. We appreciate the management team’s efforts to recover the situation and hope Enterprise continues improving its internal communication so future customers have a more consistent and positive experience.

I recently had a rental experience in Alaska that started off with some unexpected challenges — a vehicle issue (engine warming light) that caused significant disruption to my trip. However, I want to highlight the outstanding support I received from AJ, Andrew, and their team at Enterprise Anchorage International Airport. Despite the difficulties, AJ and the enterprise team went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. They were attentive, compassionate, and genuinely committed to making things right. Their professionalism and willingness to support a long-standing member like myself made all the difference and truly restored my confidence in Enterprise. It is people like AJ, Andrew, and their team that remind me why I have been proud to be an Enterprise member for so many years (over 10 years!). They handled a stressful situation with grace and care, and that level of service deserves to be recognized. Thank you to the entire Anchorage team — you are a true asset to Enterprise.

I did a day trip for fishing. I dealt with Megan on arrival and Anastasia on return. Both were very courteous, professional, and had great energy. Even though I got skunked on the king salmon run, they were part of a great trip to AK. I will be returning to enterprise again. 👍🏾🫶🏾
