It is shocking and upsetting to learn how little they are paid, considering the amount of effort they put in. Why is it that huge corporations making millions still pay their workers so poorly? Why should one cleaner have to do the work of three—cleaning showers, restrooms, and everything else—just to keep this place running? It feels deeply wrong that people’s hard work and dignity mean so little in today’s world.
