- TLTomas LOct 8, 20252.0I do not recommend Jiffy Lube for car/vehicle inspections. Let me tell you why. On a Sunday my local favorite inspection station at the end of Sawdust was closed….. I pulled into Jiffy Lube and asked for an inspection. He asked about an oil change and told me about the special. I told him no thank you and that the oil had just been changed. They pulled the car into the bay. about five minutes later in total disbelief, he walks up to me holding the vehicles, air filter and cabin filter. I asked him why in the world would he take those out when I was only here for an inspection. He told me it was their high level of service. I think he meant it was their high-level of trying up on me when I was strictly there for one purpose. Did I mention that he removed the cabin filter that is inside the glove box which requires the glove box to be removed. Do you know what people carry in their glove box here in Texas? Seems like a very bad practice to remove an air filter and cabin filter just for the sake of an upsell.😩. It is my professional opinion. Those items should’ve only been removed if I was asked, and I okayed.
