  I brought my truck in here for a transmission fluid exchange a couple months ago. I have put less than 1500 miles on it since then and began hearing noise from the transmission. I checked the level and it was WAY overfilled by several quarts. I syphoned some out and what came out was blacker than any used motor oil, not pink and clear like it should still be after only 1500 miles. I asked if they can redo the exchange with the correct synthetic fluid that my truck calls for and they don't even have it - they use a cheap all purpose ATF. So they used the incorrect fluid, left the old fluid exchange in and overfilled the pan. The noise came from blowing a seal due to the overfill. Now I need to have a complete transmission service completed to clean out the incorrect fluid, replace the filter and pump and fix the seals because they obviously do not know how to do this service. I recommend staying away from this place. No quality control whatsoever. This should have been easily cause during the fill level check after the exchange.

  I received great service from Kayla, Chris and Brian. I felt like they went above and beyond to help me with all that I needed above just an oil change. They were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.

  I want to take a moment to recognize Ethan, Ted, and Kayla at the Valvoline in Temple for their outstanding professionalism and exceptional customer service. This location is hands down the best Valvoline in the entire county, and it’s because of great people like these three who go above and beyond for every customer that walks in. Ethan showed incredible patience and knowledge when helping me with my truck. Even toward the end of the day, when most places would’ve already turned customers away, he went out of his way to let me pull into the closed bay and get my oil change done. That kind of dedication and care speaks volumes about his professionalism and genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. He also took the time to educate me about a few issues with my truck and recommended the right services to address them — something you don’t see every day. Ted was just as professional and friendly, making sure everything ran smoothly and ensuring the experience was seamless from start to finish. And Kayla was absolutely spectacular — extremely organized, kind, and attentive to every detail. You can tell she takes pride in her work and keeps everything running like clockwork. Her positive attitude and professionalism really stood out. If you’re looking for a place that treats you like family, takes pride in what they do, and truly cares about their customers, the Valvoline in Temple is the place to go. Huge thanks again to Ethan, Ted, and Kayla for setting the standard of what excellent service should look like. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this location to everyone I know!
