I’ve used Jiffy Lube for emissions inspections, oil changes, and even just putting air in my tires — and every single time I go in, I’m told I “urgently” need new brakes and am pushed to add on other services. What’s especially frustrating is that my husband has never once been told he needs brakes, coolant flushes, or other major add-ons when he brings in the exact same vehicle. The difference in recommendations is hard to ignore. Most recently, I was told my brakes were worn and needed to be replaced soon. Afterward, my husband physically removed and inspected them himself — they were completely fine and looked practically brand new. It’s upsetting to feel like I’m being targeted with unnecessary services because I’m a woman and assumed to be someone who can be taken advantage of. I want honest, accurate assessments of my vehicle — not pressure to approve work that isn’t needed. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures all customers are treated equally and given trustworthy information, regardless of who brings the car in.

Both times my wife has taken a car in for an oil change she has been told that her breaks need to be replaced and “are in the red.” They then quoted her $500 to replace the breaks. I know how to replace breaks but when I pulled them off they still have around 50% life left. They have never said anything like that when I go in. Terrible and biased service.
