Be extremely cautious. This company contradicts itself, denies disputes without evidence, and pressures customers.
I’m leaving this review to document a concerning experience and to warn future customers.
Shortly after returning the vehicle I rented, I noticed they tried to charge my card for over $400, with no prior notice or invoice. When I contacted the company, I was initially told that no charge had been made. That position later changed, yet I was never provided documentation explaining what that $400 was for. To this day, I still do not know what that amount was intended to cover.
Separately, I was then presented with a rental damage claim exceeding $2,000.
When I asked about the damage, I was told it appeared consistent with a rock striking the vehicle after it had already been driven after I dropped it off, which immediately raised concerns about how responsibility was being assigned.
I formally disputed the damage claim twice.
– The first dispute was denied without any supporting documentation or reason.
– The second dispute was also denied, at which point I was told I needed to file a claim with my personal insurance, despite the company still not providing any evidence to substantiate the damage claim. They claimed if I did not file with my insurance, then I accept liability and must pay out of pocket within 10 days.
The matter was escalated to the rental claims/damage department because the company stated they could not reach me after only one day, which is an unreasonably short timeframe for a claim of this size.
Throughout the process, I repeatedly requested the documentation they claimed existed showing the damage and that I had accepted it at the time of rental. No documentation was ever produced.
Only after I directly challenged the insurance requirement and informed them that the matter had been reported legally did the company reverse course and close the claim, characterizing the resolution as a customer service decision. The claim was closed without ever providing evidence.
While I am relieved the claim was ultimately dropped, this experience makes me very concerned for future customers. The lack of transparency, contradictory information, and unethical pressure used throughout this process could easily mislead or intimidate someone into paying charges they do not owe. I worry about how less-informed customers may be treated in similar situations. I strongly urge renters to document everything, question unsupported claims, and know their rights before doing business with this company. If you can, I would rent a car anywhere else before coming here unless you want unsubstantiated charges on your card, then for them to claim you need to pay for damages you did not cause.
PS, They also did not give me my deposit back until I told them I reported it legally, even tho the car was returned with a full gas tank. Red flags all around their business practices. Be careful, this business does not care about you, only making money!
