We have had the worst experience with Safelite company and the store at 410 and Ingram. Initially replaced windshield on 10/16 and we are still missing a part that they broke during installation. It is now 11/17 snd we are not able to drive vehicle father than 30mph in fear that the windshield will break. I have emailed corporate and still no response.

An amazing transformation! We originally approached Safelite about a year ago to replace a damaged windshield. Went to the retail location and was informed that they did not have the required windshield in stock but would have it available soon and scheduled the service. As the date approached, I called the local installation shop and was told that the windshield had not arrived from Atlanta. I was rescheduled about three times before I gave up trying. This was a very unpleasant experience and Safelite owns this one. Then last week I saw a commercial that indicated Safelite would come to my location and install the proper glass. Skeptical, but willing to try this service, I scheduled an appointment for the following morning. About thirty minutes prior to the scheduling window, I received a phone call from the installer indicating he was en route and would be there soon. The installer arrived, looked over the car and indicated the installation would take about two hours. I was working from home that morning so I gave him the car keys and indicated I would check on the progress occasionally to be sure all was well. The few times I watched his progress, I saw an installer that was one of the most professional, thorough and thoughtful people I have had the pleasure of watching. He was methodical in the removal of the broken glass yet kept the inside of the car spotless. He was also able to transfer about six window parking passes and the vehicle registration. After he finished the job, he asked me to look it over and wanted to be sure I had no questions or concerns. I had none. He them gave me his personal phone number and said to call him if there were any issues. Safelite, you hit a home run with this employee! I'm not sure why there was such difficulty scheduling with the local shop but this installer was the best.

Hopefully I never need a windshield replaced again and if I do it will definitely not be here. First when I get it back the crown molding is sticking up/out on the top of the windshield on the drivers side and the bottom is wiggly and loose. Then when I go back by there to have them check it and fix it or see if it needs a new piece I’m told when I call just go by and they can check it real quick for you you don’t need an appt after waiting 20+ minutes someone comes to see if I had been helped and he looked at it and brought the paperwork to the lead tech who is the only one allowed to check these but was in the middle of another car. They pull it in the bay for him then a few minutes later he pulls the car out says it’s done & good. But it’s still slightly sticking up. And when I asked and pointed it out the reason I get is that it’s just gonna do that. But it’s in there & won’t cause any issues like rain, wind or anything getting in. And I explained okay but it still shouldn’t look like that. Shouldn’t it look the way it did when it came in? He expressed well no it’s not gonna be flush with the body….I’m sorry but why the hell not??? Did I not take it to a professional business?? My car is brand new and shouldn’t have anything sticking up like that. I wanted to take my car to the dealership but insurance is contracted with safelite & I think that is the most ridiculous thing. Your car should be returned to you looking the way it came in.

I would give it 0 stars if that was possible, and here is why. I had my truck broken into, on a Friday evening, where it was determined that the drivers side glass needed to be replaced. On Saturday morning, I searched the Safelite site to check the price, and how long it would take for the glass to be replaced. I was very happy to see that the glass could be replaced on the same day between 8am and noon, so I paid for the glass and scheduled the service to come out to my house and replace the glass. 11:45 comes along and no Safelite, and no communication as to when they might arrive, so I decide to contact them, to get an understanding of when they would be here. The representative on the phone attempted to call the shop twice but was unable to get ahold of them, so they left a message for the shop to contact me. At about 2 pm, still no communication from Safelite, I decided to contact them again. The representative attempted to contact the shop, but was unable to get a hold of them. They stated that they reached out to the sister shop in the area to get a hold of me. Then, about 3pm, I contacted Safelite, again, to update the address where they could come out to replace the glass, since they have effectively stopped me from being able to do anything that day. The representative attempted to contact the shop, but was once again unable to. They stated that the technicians manager would reach out to me shortly to discuss, but that never happened. On Tuesday, I received a call from Safelite, but was unable to answer the phone as I was at work. The VM stated to call them back regarding my recent scheduled appointment. When I attempted to call the shop, I was unable to reach them, and was unable to leave a voicemail. I then contacted the 800 number to get a hold of Safelite to receive a refund since there was no work completed on my truck. The representative attempted to call the shop, but was unable to get a hold of them. The representative stated that the shop has to initiate the refund, and that the district manager would be in Contact with me, which never happened. On Saturday, the technician contacted me to let me know that he was on the way. I told him that I cancelled the appointment and requested a refund. He stated that he was going to cancel the appointment and issue the refund after he got off the phone. This did not happen. That following Thursday, I received another text that I was scheduled for a glass replacement on Saturday, that I did not schedule. On Saturday, the technician called me to inform me that he was on the way. I told him that my truck was at the dealership and that the appointment had been cancelled numerous times, and requested a refund, but that never happened. As soon as I got off the phone with the technician, I received a text that my refund was being issued. I would not recommend Safelite, and this is coming from someone that worked for them back in 2004.
