Paid $120 for an oil change and then they show me my dipstick after — oil was darker than my morning coffee. The “technician” (who swore she’s been doing this for years) tried telling me “that’s just what 5W-30 looks like.” Ma’am… I’ve changed my own oil before. I’m not dumb. Pretty sure new oil isn’t supposed to look like it just came out of an old lawn mower. Judging by the confidence in that answer, I’m guessing she drives a 1990 beater that leaks more oil than it holds — so maybe dark oil is normal in her world. Then the supervisor strolls over — not to fix it, but to upsell me more services. Buddy, how about you sell me some actual clean oil first? For $120, I expected my car to leave happier, not dirtier. If you want a good laugh and some mystery-colored oil, this is your spot. If you actually want your car serviced right, maybe try literally anywhere else.
