I called Brakes Plus to schedule an inspection with Kevin. They took me right in. They recommended a few items needed and showed me the items. I approved one with a reasonable price. They were all super nice. First time visiting them . Won't hesitate to return.

Bret, Kevin, and John, we’re amazing! They explained everything I needed. They were not pushy Sells people, they really want to help here and give you everything you need to make a decision for your service. I had a brake light issue that turned into an electrical issue and they were able to handle it flawlessly. Highly recommend!

I scheduled an appointment to do a front wheel alignment at 10:00 AM and arrived at the shop around 9:40 AM. I handed over the car keys at approximately 9:50 AM, and we agreed that they would inspect the car to find the source of a clicking noise coming from the front. I waited in the shop for about two hours, and after two hours and ten minutes from the time they received the car, no one had inspected the car or performed the alignment, even though the car had been brought in and lifted in the garage.
Then the employee called me and informed me that the inspection and alignment would take about two hours. I went back home and around 2:00 PM, after two hours of leaving the shop, I called them, and the employee told me they were still trying to find the source of the noise. I told them to make sure to notify me once they finished and found the cause.
About two hours later, no one had contacted me, so I called again to inquire about the car, and they told me they were still inspecting it. I confirmed again that they should call me when it was done. By 5:00 PM, I still hadn’t received a call, so I contacted them again. They told me the source of the clicking noise but said they still hadn’t done the wheel alignment. I left home immediately to get to the shop before it closed and arrived around 5:40 PM, but unfortunately, they still hadn’t done the wheel alignment.
Here I wonder: does a car really need seven hours for an inspection? And what’s the point of making appointments if they don’t honor them? Honestly, it was a bad experience — I wasted my time and my day, and in the end, they didn’t even do the wheel alignment.

🚨 Heads up to anyone in the area thinking about going to Brakes Plus! 🚨
I took my 2014 Chevy Cruze there because my A/C wasn’t blowing cold air. They charged me $100 just to diagnose it, then told me all I needed was a new fuse. They replaced it and charged $70 for a five-dollar part, then sent me on my way saying everything was fixed.
An hour later, the A/C went out again — same fuse blown. I bought a pack of fuses from Walmart for $5 and realized the fuse kept blowing whenever I turned the car on or off. So I went back to Brakes Plus, explained the issue, and asked for a refund. They told me to leave the car, saying they’d fix it “on the house.”
The next day they called saying it was ready and that they had found and repaired some “burn marks on wiring.” When I went to pick it up (right at closing), I tested it before driving off — and as soon as I started the car, the fuse blew again and the engine started smoking, something that never happened before I took it there.
Now they’re saying they “can’t find the problem,” won’t refund me, and offered to replace the whole compressor for $700 — even though they already admitted the compressor works fine.
So now I’m out money, my A/C still doesn’t work, and my car has new problems it didn’t have before. Posting this so others know to be careful who you trust with your vehicle — sometimes “cheap” diagnostics cost you more in the long run.
