  My mother recently passed, and I kept her vehicle a 2014 with all original parts. I knew it needed some work. She had hit a bad pothole last year, and ever since, the left wheel bearing/hub had been causing issues. This week, I finally had time to get an estimate for the wheel bearing, brakes, struts, and any other wheel-related concerns. Matt provided an estimate of $1,612. I told him I wanted the repairs done gradually not all at once and that I only wanted to fix the wheel bearing/hub issue now, since it was the main safety concern. That repair alone was quoted at $881. We agreed that the brakes, struts, and anything else could wait. He asked me to leave the vehicle because of the safety issue, which I understood. They arranged a Lyft to take me home and said the car would be ready today. This morning, I called to confirm the amount due, only to be told they had completed all the repairs and the total was $1,612. I explained that I did not authorize ALL repairs only the wheel bearing/hub. I went to the shop, waited for Matt, and asked why everything had been done when I clearly requested only the wheel bearing/hub. Not once did he apologize for the misunderstanding or acknowledge the miscommunication. Instead, he took $100 off the total. I ended up having to use the remainder of our savings to pay for repairs I did not authorize. So please, if you take your vehicle here, double-check and initial every repair you approve. Protect yourself and your family so you’re not left wondering how you’ll make it through the rest of the month.

  I made my first visit to Brakes Plus today. Matt was extremely busy yet remained outstandingly professional. In the midst of the constant flow of vehicles coming in and out, he remained personable and attentive with every customer. I will definitely be bringing all of my business here moving forward. Highly recommend!

  They're knowledgeable and take the time to show me why things are/aren't wrong! I was told by the dealership that my brake pads were close to needing replaced - 2 months after replacing them. I took it back to Brakes Plus to get it checked out and they showed me the brake pads and demonstrated how they measure it for me. My brake pads are great! Brakes Plus did their job well the first time and reaffirmed it the second time for me!

  The team was not only helpful, but very honest and straightforward on my car care needs and options. I felt very assisted not sold, and as a woman going into a car repair shop that was a game changer. I will defintely be back.

  Very disappointed and they scammed me of my money. Went in for a state inspection and was not aware that having a check engine light was an automatic fail. Instead of stopping the inspection to inform me having tha would be an automatic fail and they would not be able to pass me the proceeded to do the inspection for about an hr just to tell me that I failed and still need to pay. Communicating this issue would have saved me a trip so I could get the issue resolved. Will not be returning.Thanks Danny for that
