- TTtnicknoNov 3, 20251.0My intentions were to share a glowing report regarding my service on Saturday at Brake Plus. Jonah the tech who assisted me was great in his customer service. However, I am disappointed now. I came in to get my air intake hoses replaced on my 2014 MB s-550 that was brought to my attention at Jiffy Lube earlier. I had been coming to Brake Plus for quite awhile up until this point, dropping thousands of dollars on repairs for a 2009 Dodge Avenger. I was told the parts for the s-550 were $293.99 a piece for 2 hoses figuring it would be a whole more if I took it to the dealership. Now I am upset with myself because I failed to do research first and now I see I could have gotten the 2 hoses off ebay for $60 total from one seller. Additionally, other reputable online European parts websites are offering the hoses for under $100 a piece. I just can’t believe Brake Plus company markup on parts at this rate. Customer service was great and the quickness of repair was outstanding. But, the price for the parts were outrageous!!!!!
