Back story: had to pull over suddenly on 22 December when I was driving pass this store (malfunction warning/check engine light announced a issue). Steve was in the parking lot and told me to park. Another employee attempted to assist. However, when he was struggling with an issue under the hood, I came back in the store and it was Steve Vanderbilt who quickly came out to my rescue. He diagnosed and installed my new Air Mass Flow Sensor and directed me to return the old one to Napa Auto Parts and get a refund (which I did that evening with no issues). I manage a business of 4k customers and Steve has the kind of leadership, integrity, customer service, personalization and going up over and beyond that I would always want to partner with. If Steve has not had a pay raise or bonus in the last year, Autozone seriously needs to give him one to indicate they recognize and appreciate what they have in this store manager. Thank you Steve for being a really great guy.

His calm approach, willingness to help, and customer-first attitude really stood out. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and it truly reflects excellent leadership and customer service. Highly recommend Steve and this store.

They have archaic point of sale systems and long wait times just to pay - even if I don't need to ask a question. Stop asking for a phone number on every transaction. Stop mixing service/questions and point of sale. Bring back self checkout. It's 2025, not 1995. Time for this company to die like radio shack and GameStop. Dinosaur.
