Apologies for the long review, but here it is.
Almost two years ago, I needed a new radio unit for my car and was advised to get a JVC unit since it was identical to Sony and other more expensive brands. I ended up spending close to $1,200 for the installation—$300 for the unit itself, $600 for the correct brackets, and about $200 for labor.
After getting my car back, my battery died twice. I called the owner to let them know, and they agreed to diagnose the car. Later, I received a call from Kevin McBreen stating that the problem wasn’t the unit they installed, but my battery. I was skeptical since I had never experienced issues with my battery before. I went to AutoZone, where I was told the battery was completely fine. Since it was under warranty, they offered a replacement, so I agreed.
The next morning, my car still wouldn’t start. Frustrated, I took it to my own mechanic, who confirmed that the issue was with the newly installed radio unit. I left a message for Kevin explaining what had happened. The following day, I returned to Tint World, where Kevin was visibly annoyed that I had taken my car elsewhere. Given that they had misdiagnosed my battery, I had lost trust in them.
They took the car back, and later called to confirm they agreed with my mechanic’s diagnosis. A few days later, I went to pick up my car. No one greeted me, and when Kevin and his head mechanic saw me, they closed the garage. Looking at my invoice, I noticed they had altered the diagnosis from what they had originally told me. I was so frustrated that I decided to let it go at that time.
About a year later, I started having more problems with the radio—it wouldn’t turn on or played a terrible ticking noise. Reluctantly, I returned to the shop since I still had a warranty. The head mechanic (I believe his name was Buddy) offered every possible explanation for why it wasn’t the head unit and checked thoroughly until he had exhausted all options. He said he would contact the manufacturer regarding the warranty.
I never received a call back, and to this day, I still have problems with this radio.
You may wonder why I’m writing this review two years later. At the time, I was only 19 years old with limited funds, and I was so frustrated that I didn’t want to risk angering Kevin, who had threatened to terminate my warranty if I went to another mechanic. Now that my warranty has expired, I feel free to share my experience.
I am saddened that I was treated this way. I'm sure Kevin will try to break down my review with his own justification, or he may simply not respond to my review. But I don't care what the response is. I hope that they can realize and take ownership of their fault and learn how to properly treat others regardless if they are young or not.

I recently had Tint World complete part of my package deal on my new 2026 RAM Warlock, and the experience has been excellent from start to finish. They began with a Premium Ceramic Coating, followed by the PPF Supreme front clear wrap for protection against rocks, chips, and scratches. The final step was the installation of Ultimate Window Tint. The truck turned out fantastic.
I am currently waiting for the next phase of the build, which includes a 6-inch Rough Country lift, 20x10 Rough Country wheels with 35" Nitto Grappler A/T tires, side steps, and an AWE Performance cat-back dual exhaust. This portion of the installation is expected to be completed within the next 2–3 weeks.
The team at Tint World has created a great family-oriented environment and has truly gone above and beyond throughout the entire process. I am extremely happy with the results so far and look forward to seeing the completed build.

A pleasant/ friendly experience every time I enter the doors! And a personal story... I have been going into this awesome custom shop for years. And once, I was running late for my appointment, like 45 minutes late, and when I arrived there was no mumbling under their breathe, no excuses they made time immediately and did what they needed to do quicker than I could eat my taco! They are great! They win all categories: customer service, installation, and oversll presentation!! Top notch!! I highly recommend this fine establishment.
