- TTTheOneDec 8, 20255.0Just wanna give a strong shout out to my go to Mr. Travis Ford best customer service person I’ve ever dealt with in any type of sales! The guy literally treated me like a family, I came in last week and I was just a mess. My dang prob car I couldn’t get answers, I don’t know if it was just his demeanor or whatever it was cause immediately I ask felt better and more calm! Dang sure enough where I was thinking Clear him and I were throwing things back-and-forth to each other! Because I was so frustrating I could not even see straight when I went in there! He got me in and out of there really fast was sure to think before my service because I was a veteran as I wear my hat all the time! He informed that they had a 10% discount for the veterans just 100% there for the customer! I had never been to an Advanced Auto up until this point, but I won’t be going anywhere else and I won’t be coming to anybody but Travis! He knows how to treat a person he doesn’t just treat us like he wants our wallets and that’s what we want because in today’s world every dollar means so much! I felt like I got a friend when I left there today at least on my end! But if you guys need any help, you got any questions then go see Travis! I promise you you won’t be disappointed! I let Travis know that my brother was coming in next week. He’s got a couple diesel trucks I that he needs new batteries for! He told me he would take care of him and you know I wouldn’t just send my brother anywhere, but I know after being here today I have nothing to worry about! You guys get over here and see Travis in Advance Auto you won’t regret it!

After attempting to solve a battery issue with the other auto parts locations in New Braunfels I arrived at this Advance and was greeted and assisted by Travis from the moment i opened the door it was A-1 customer service, walking me outside to make sure i bought the right size and tools needed to change it!! Even after i installed it he helped me bring my old battery in for the core charge!! When you have to do it yourself this auto parts store is the best in New Braunfels hands down thank you Travis and Advance Auto parts!!

Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
