Got into a wreck—yay me. The other driver’s insurance set up a rental through Enterprise, cool. I called on Friday to arrange a pickup and spoke with Aaliyah, who told me they were short-staffed but could pick me up the next day (Saturday) at 11 AM. Cool, I scheduled it.
Well, Saturday came and went—11 o’clock passed, and they close at 12. I called about seven times, only for Aaliyah to answer and immediately place me back on hold until the call went to voicemail. When I finally got her on the phone, she claimed they don’t do pickups on weekends and denied ever telling me otherwise.
I reminded her that she introduced herself by name the day before, so I know it was her. Instead of just admitting she got her days mixed up, she got defensive and rude. To make things worse, she clearly never put the pickup request in the system—otherwise, it would’ve flagged that it was a weekend.
I’ve used this location many times and never had an issue, but Aaliyah was completely unprofessional. A simple apology for the misinformation could have gone a long way. Instead, I’m now stuck without a car all weekend when I could’ve just taken an Uber to pick up the rental Friday. Weekend ruined.

During our recent phone interaction, Shavonne demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism. When she called to inform us that the company did not have the inventory required for our reservation, she was unable to communicate the situation clearly and used an unnecessarily condescending tone when speaking with my husband. When I joined the call to address the matter, I expressed that her communication was unprofessional. Rather than acknowledging the concern, she attempted to deflect responsibility and redirect the issue toward us, which was entirely inappropriate. Professional communication and composure are essential components of any customer facing role and unfortunately, Shavonne’s conduct did not reflect these standards. It may be beneficial for her to receive additional training in customer service and communication or to be considered for a position that does not involve direct customer interaction, given her apparent difficulty in engaging respectfully and effectively.
