  Karen is amazing! She clearly explains all costs and fees so there are no surprises. While we were waiting on another team member to bring the cabin air filter, she took the time to chat with us and answer all of our questions. There was one thing she wasn’t completely sure about, so she called Austin over, and he explained everything to me in detail and made sure I understood. Michael is always professional and gets the job done quickly and efficiently. Because of the great service from this team, I won’t go anywhere else but this location on Frank Street in Lufkin!

  I found the service excellent. I had not used Grease Monkey shops before. I'm from California, and had my favorite mechanics that took care of my car. The personnel at this Grease Monkey on Frank St in Lufkin were so helpful and informative as well as polite. I felt like they cared about my safety and maintenance of my car. I expected only an oil change but they checked my tires, lights, brakes and fluids and battery. I did have them replace my battery and wiper blades. When I left the shop, my car ran beautifully. As an 80 year old woman, I appreciate courtesy and confidence in service.

  Staff was excellent, explained pricing, car diagnostic status, and recommendations thoroughly. I didn’t feel forced to add on extra services other than the oil change I requested and was back on the road within 20 minutes!

  Avoid the Grease Monkey on West Frank Avenue in Lufkin at all costs if you value your vehicle. I took my Ford F-550 there for a routine oil change on January 21st 2026, only for the technician to neglect securing the oil cap properly. The result? A complete oil leak, leading to catastrophic engine failure and a cracked block that necessitates a full engine replacement. I reported the issue the very same day, and store manager Dwayne personally inspected the truck, admitting the fault and promising to escalate it to corporate. That was a week ago, and despite my repeated follow-ups, there’s been zero communication from corporate – no updates, no claim number, nothing. The local team now deflects with phrases like “it’s in corporate’s hands,” but offers no real assistance or timeline. This silence is not only unprofessional but also costing me significant business losses as my truck sits idle. As someone who expects integrity from service providers, this experience has been a massive letdown. It’s honest negligence compounded by poor follow-through, and I urge others to seek more reliable options. Grease Monkey, if you’re reading this, step up and make it right – but based on how this has been handled so far, I doubt it.
