  this is my 4th time using National at Laredo International Airport. the 1st 2 times business was ok. I wasn't greeted nicely but figured the rental counter people were dealing with the 10 or so people that was in line so they were busy. I always rent a luxury car and I typically always use National to date I have 140 rental days in. last visit I was told they don't have a luxury cars at that location and was given a jeep to use for the week that I am there. I asked about the lesser rate since it's not luxury and was offered 10% off. I took it and left because it was late and I just travelled 11 hrs. this visit I get to the counter, same thing i reserved a luxury vehicle and was offered a durango. I said to the counter person I reserved a luxury car, then he came up with an audi and gave that to me. it was a SUV not a car. so all of that not so important. it was being forced to give them a secondary number because its their new policy. I said to the counter person i only have 1 number i use for business and personal. I ended up having to give them my wife's number just to be able to rent a car. The counter person told me this is because they are so close to the border, I said what does that have to do with anything, I rent in NY, Chicago, AZ, and California all by border towns and never have to do that, then I was asked what hotel I am staying at, which is ridiculous. I was told all of this is corporate policy. lastly i got the Branch Managers card to call him which I did Jerry Lara. He doesn't pick up the phone and you can't leave a voicemail. I am very frustrated with National and how they handled this trip. I will be reevaluating if I want to give them 180 days of rental in the future. There's more but that was the jist of it...DO NOT RENT FROM THEM>>> BUYER BEWARE

  Great service! Staff was very friendly helped me right away and was able to find me a more spacious SUV then I previously requested. Location is easy to find the rental counter is on the very left side of terminal and the parking lot is just right outside. Easy to get in and out. Rental vehicle was in perfect shape and very clean inside. Would definitely recommend renting from them

  The people were very friendly and professional. They treated me like a friend not a customer. The truck was in perfect condition. Everytime I rent from National the process goes smooth and easy. I try to rent from National every time I can.
