  Confirmations are NOT honored with this company! My wife made reservations two weeks before we were moving into our new home. We received confirmation from Penske that we would have a truck ready to go at the Home Depot, the day of the move. So we confirmed our movers and thought we were good to go. On moving day and we head to Hone Depot to pick the truck up. Entering the parking lot, I became concerned and told my wife there weren’t any Penske trucks in the normal spot. She pulls up her most recent email telling her the truck was there waiting for us. We go inside and the woman at the counter pulled up our reservation but confirmed there were no trucks. She had to call Penske three times because she was hung up on twice. On the third attempt, she got someone and she handed the phone to my wife. The person on the other line proceeds to tell her that Home Depot must had rented our reserved truck to someone else. The Hone Depot employee denied that and told us that they had another reservation that day, and they too wouldn’t have a truck, and that Penske was trying to pass the blame. The Penske “customer service” guy proceeds to tell my wife’s fe there’s another truck at another Home Depot and is ready to go. The catch, it was over an hour away from us. 🤦🏽‍♂️ We explained driving an hour there, and an hour back wasn’t feasible because we had helpers coming within that hour and needed something closer. Well, he couldn’t help us and insisted that’s the best they could do. (REALLY!?!) So to start off the morning this way really made the day even more stressful because we had a confirmation email confirming our reservation, then another saying it was there waiting for us. So who dropped the ball, Home Depot or Penske? In any case, neither helped the situation. Thank god for Budget Rental! Not only did they have the same size truck available, but telling them of our horrible experience with Penske, they gave us a discount matching what Penske would charge us, with unlimited miles. Budget to the rescue, and there far more reasonable and accommodating than Penske! Since Penske lied to us, I will never use them nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. Budget on the other hand gained my loyalty. Already, I’ve referred two friends to them in Arlington, and they received the same five star treatment I received. **Penske, no need for a blanket response. You have proven that you are not trustworthy and anyone’s word there means nothing, thanks to your CS rep trying to blame Home Depot. I’m not interested in speaking to anyone else about this. The day started horrible with this experience and it took another company to make it right. Shame on you!
