  New to the area, but long time Mavis Tire/NTB customer. Love the open design of the store. Full transparency for the customers. Excellent customer service. The employees really go out of their way to assist you with whatever you need. Highly recommend this location for your automotive needs.

  I had an amazing experience at Mavis Tire & Brakes! From the moment I walked in, the team was professional, welcoming, and genuinely focused on helping me. What really stood out was the leadership and expertise of Store Manager Chris Williams. His long-standing experience in the industry is evident, and it shows in the way the shop is run. He leads a growing team of mechanics who are knowledgeable, efficient, and clearly take pride in their work. They took the time to thoroughly explain what my vehicle needed without any pressure, which I truly appreciated. The service was fast, honest, and done with great attention to detail—something that’s hard to find these days. If you’re looking for a trustworthy shop with experienced leadership and a strong team behind it, I highly recommend this location. I’ll definitely be returning for future service!

  I previously gave a review for this store, after a short time things have changed for the worse. I had my AC serviced at this location. After a short time, the AC stopped working. I took it back to them, and they sent me to their affiliate auto shop, NTB in Cinco Ranch. The NTB store told me I needed two major parts totaling over $1300.00. I wanted a second opinion, so I went back to Mavis Tires and Brakes in Katy on Hockley Road. I was told that I needed one of the two parts replaced for close to a thousand dollars. They did not seem too convincing as to the repairs I needed. I took it to another repair shop, and they finally figured out the problem! It was not either of the parts that NBT or Mavis told me. It was a much cheaper price. The third place said it was probably because the Mavis Tires and brakes put too much freon in the AC unit causing it to stop working. It is a shame that both places tried to get over on me! I am a veteran, and a female on a fixed income. Be careful who you choose to trust when getting your car serviced!

  Clarence and his crew were incredible. Very knowledgeable, patient and thorough. They were not at all pushy and they were very honest about what needed to get done and what was actually not in need of repair. Thank you for making the walk-in visit super easy.

  Deceptive!! I called to get a price for a synthetic oil change and was quoted $99.95. The service advisor told me we would give me a $20.00 discount coupon. I told him I would come in. I arrived and everything I was quoted was honored. I asked for the total price and it was over $114.00. I asked how it could be that much when it should have been $79.95 and he told me it was that price plus taxes and fees and an oil filter. The price of the oil change didn’t include the oil filter. I have never been misled like that ever. Be careful as they may charge you for additional things that are included in the price every where else. I was very disappointed and left without getting my oil changed and a bad taste in my mouth with this facility!
