The guy who picked up was very helpful, looked up the uncommon car battery I needed verified it to be in stock before I made the drive the next day. When I apologized for the timing, he said it was not a problem & was very professional. Pickup went smoothly too, they brought the battery right to the counter & got me all set up. My vintage car is happy too...I didn't realize how bad the old battery had gotten until I put this one in...what a difference! Wish I had gotten names of the guys there, but they were both helpful. The guy at the desk answered all my warranty questions, but when I had a car question he didn't know the answer to, he honestly said as such (which I appreciate, rather than a BS answer). The guy I had talked to on the phone chimed in with a good answer, so they seemed to make a good team.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
